Usher was interviewed by RWDmag.com recently where he talked about old flame Chili, being a family man and fending off the ladies:
“RWD: Chilli was quoted as saying you were the one she ‘truly did love. I’m not in love with him anymore, but I can’t say I don’t love him.’ Do you think it’s appropriate for her to make these comments considering you’re married with a child?
I mean, I think it’s a little unrealistic, I’m married (laughs), I’m not a boy. It’s been three years past, you know? But we all have unrealistic goals too. Like shoot, I will always forever love Katie Holmes and Halle Berry. I don’t feel anyway about it. It does appear maybe to be a plug for something. She got a record coming or something?”

Maybe you’ll start to see more artists taking that plunge and really getting serious in their relationships. Hey, the world doesn’t stop on account of you getting married. As someone who is married, let me say this: I had relationships prior to getting married. I was in love with a couple of them. Do I still have love for them? Yes. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. My past loves helped shape the person I am now-the woman my husband married. I will always hope the best for them in whatever they choose to do in life. That absolutely DOES NOT mean I don’t love my husband or that I don’t support Black men marrying Black women or anything else. I just believe that if you truly love(d) someone, that will never really fully leave you. They will always leave their mark on your heart. That being said, Usher was really pretty rude calling Chili’s comment some sort of publicity stunt or whatever. That’s part of being a celebrity. I haven’t read the whole interview, but from what I have read (including what you posted, Realwoman) Chili’s comment was pretty innocent. At least it wasn’t so bad that Usher shoulda took it where he did. It just makes him look petty and mean… AND insecure. Anytime you start trying to stroke someone (Your wife’s for example) ego, you will have to continue to do so forever. Your wife, is insecure and you as a “man” should be able to say that you care for someone you were once in a relationship with, without having to try to disparage your exs character, by implying that she only stated she loved you but was NOT IN LOVE WITH YOU, because of some project she may have.
