As someone who is married, let me say this: I had relationships prior to getting married. I was in love with a couple of them. Do I still have love for them? Yes. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. My past loves helped shape the person I am now-the woman my husband married. I will always hope the best for them in whatever they choose to do in life. That absolutely DOES NOT mean I don’t love my husband or that I don’t support Black men marrying Black women or anything else. I have nothing against Tameka, but Usher even slipped up and said it in an interview when he said he married Tameka because he needed to man up and do the right thing. Meaning he got her pregnant and married her because it seemed like the right thing to do. Any and everyone knows how hard Usher tried to get Chilli back and she wasn’t having it. That interview with Chilli was in sister 2 sister magazine and they asked her about Usher and Marlon Wayans. She was polite in saying she still had love for him eventhough he screwed around on her. Also, a REAL man isn’t going to go around proclaiming his manliness and diss the hell out of someone that he, at one point, planned to spend the rest of his life with. There is a way that he could have answered that question with a bit of class and without being disrespectful to either person, ex or wife. His answer just calls his character, his marriage, and Tameka’s self esteem / security issues into question.

Anytime you start trying to stroke someone (Your wife’s for example) ego, you will have to continue to do so forever. Your wife, is insecure and you as a “man” should be able to say that you care for someone you were once in a relationship with, without having to try to disparage your exs character, by implying that she only stated she loved you but was NOT IN LOVE WITH YOU, because of some project she may have. GROW UP!!!! The reality of the matter is that your ugly ass wife has to look in the mirror every day, she knows what time it is. She has a job to do- and that is to make every one your enemy (for instance your mom, your exs, ets) to make herself look go.
