Also, I was very worried about Hills possibly having a shot at the VP slot, but that’s looking increasingly unlikely. Rendell and Richardson, both named as possible VP contenders (Rendell said flat-out that he wasn’t interested), were on the Today Show this morning, and both commented on how this is a delicate decision. Simply put, there was a lot of ugliness during this campaign and whether Hillary and Barack could get along as a team is highly doubtful. Plus, Bill has some questionable business associations that have not been fully vetted and could cause problems during a general election campaign.
BTW, I just saw that Gloria Steinem, a big Hills supporter, is now backing Obama.

But you had BET News, roundtable discussions, Teen Summit, some older shows in syndication, I think they had kids programming on Saturday mornings too. THANK YOU! I don’t understand why people think that the Clinton Administration was so damn great for Black people. His administration did A LOT of damage. The only reason why some Blacks prospered, was because they pulled themselves up to middle-class BEFORE Clinton came, and they reaped the same benefits as white folks, who is “prosperous” policies were really aimed towards. Not us.
What he did to Black folks was unacceptable. During his administration crack became an out of control epidemic. Not only did he enact the 3 Strikes rule that sent our brothers to prison forever if they sold crack (vs 2-3 years for cocaine), but let’s not forget “welfare reform” which created havoc on black families and caused many of us to reach an all time high of homelessness. And also NAFTA. NAFTA hurt more poor Blacks and Hispanics than any other race. In essence, his administration pulled the final string that was holding what was left of the Black family. Bill Clinton can go straight to hell.

Yes, everyone should read Obama’s autobiography. I read it soon after it was first released (right after he gave the historical opening speech at the Democratic Convention in ‘04)and it was a very good read. It will give anyone who reads it excellent insight into what drives him to be the person he is.

Plus he pressured the European Union into boycotting Caribbean sugar, coffee and fruit so that Dole could move their operation from Hawaii and high priced labor to the Dominican Republic and their cheap labor. And they also facilitated Walmart, (where Hillary sat on the board), bringing in their cheap goods made in factories that their vendors moved to China and Southeast Asia for the cheap labor and the lax environmental controls. The Clintons have always been low class white trash and now the whole world is aware of it. when they left the White House, they took everything that was not nailed down, I am talking about everything from rugs and furniture to knick knacks. Three moving trucks were needed to bring back that stuff from New York to Washington when the government asked for it back.
They were so broke when they left Washington that their corporate friends had to co-sign on their mortgage. Then those freeloaders built a 3 bedroom cottage on their property to house the secret service and are charging the government ten thousand dollars a month rent, The same amount as their mortgage.

Bill, most assuredly, would demand a prominent role in the White House, and there are controversies with some of his financial dealings, etc. that could cause Obama some headaches, and there are other issues, such as Hillary’s former stance on the war in Iraq, her diametrically opposed focus to his campaign theme of change (the Clintons, to many, represent deeply entrenched, traditional Washington politics), etc.

If they just change the wording from “exaggerating evidence” to “manufacturing evidence” they would actually be borderline credible. Everyone should know by now the government used 9/11 as a scare tactic to push their agenda for an illegal war. BTW, did you know that there are official government papers (now unclassified) showing that this war against Iraq was planned during the Carter administration. I would like to point out a number of flaws in your argument
When Bill Clinton was president we called him the first black president, nonsense, this was a phrase adopted by some of the corrupt members of the Black caucus to justify their being on the Clinton payroll to bring him the black vote so that he could become president. We quickly found out just how Black he was when it looked like Barack Obama was won Iowa and was leading in New Hampshire until HRC got on national television and used tears to appeal to her sentiments of her feminist voters.
President Clinton quickly made it a point of reminding the electorate that in case they had forgotten, this was a black man we were talking about and he was going about the task of taking away something from a whit woman. This little bit of political gamesmanship backfired because the Negrocans in the Clinton camp had failed to prepare him for the fact that you can push black folks buttons from here to thy kingdom come on any issue, but after 1964, there is one button that is absolutely off limits, and he went and pushed it.
After Obama ran off that string of victories across the nation’s heartland and went ahead in the popular vote. Hillary Clinton used a two-pronged strategy based on race. She went after the Hispanic voters who as the newest immigrant group she rightly assumed had quickly adopted the best and the worst of America. This included the racist attitudes of the dominant culture, which were not too far removed from what they had left behind in their home countries in Latin and South America. She then went after the “hard working whites” of Appalachia. Lest we forget, HRC has not always been a Democrat. In her biography she proudly points out that she was a “Goldwater Girl”. This means that she was a member of the Young Republicans and supported Barry Goldwater, one of only 5 Senators who voted AGAINST the Civil Rights Bill of 1964. As I have stated in earlier posts, the Clinton Administration, while working in favor of the middle class, completely devastated the inner city black community. The irony is that it did the same to those pockets of white Appalachia and rural post- industrial counties across the northeast and upper Midwest.
In conclusion, the Feminists will in the end vote democrat, because the new administration will have the chance of replacing two Supreme Court judges. This is a lot to have at stake and they will remain democrats. The Hispanic community, except for the white Cubans, will come around because in the end , the Democratic party, especially one restored to ideals set forth under the leadership of FDR and Kennedy best represents the interests of immigrants. The self anointed Talented Tenth which includes the Black Caucus is running back as we speak as the realize that Barack means business and they are in danger of being thrown under the bus by their pro-Obama constituencies

Sen. Hillary Clinton will speak to supporters at noon Saturday, her campaign announced, as the one-time Democratic front-runner prepares to officially end her bid for the presidency and endorse Sen. Barack Obama.
Some of the New York senator’s supporters are urging Obama to pick her as his vice-presidential running mate but Clinton has said she’s not seeking the job and the choice is Obama’s to make. The two met in a surprise meeting Thursday night to discuss uniting the Democratic Party and bring their campaigns together.

Feinstein said Clinton called her late Thursday afternoon to set up the meeting, which occurred at 9 p.m. in Feinstein’s home near American University. The secret get-together came just hours after Obama had addressed a huge crowd in northern Virginia.
Feinstein said Clinton was eager to get past the contentious primary season, but was also interested in representing her supporters at the convention and in a potential Obama administration.
“Hillary Clinton represents a very large bloc of voters — the largest ever for anybody who’s ever come in No. 2 in the popular vote,” Feinstein said. “She wants to do everything she can to see that people who voted for her have their voices heard, and that goes for credentials and platform. She wants to have a working relationship with Sen. Obama. I think that is a very positive thing.”
