I once invited a woman to a very nice thai restaurant, and she got up from our table to take a B.S. phone call from one of her friends — needless to say, that was the last time I asked her out.

If I’m going out, I leave the cell phone in my car, and check messages after the date. Unless there is an emergency call that is in the nature of life or death, I see no reason to tolerate that kind of rudeness from a woman.

If I was on a date and my mate begin to text, make multiple phone calls and the likes, I would seriously have to think about going on another date with him. I’m not saying that all attention has to be on me all the time. However, texting and taking/making multiple unimportant phone calls gives the appearance that “you are too busy” or, that you’re just not into the person you’re with.
