I think this a great track with a great beat. NAS has done a great job!! Obama has inspired many disgruntled voters to take part in this country’s democracy. He has allowed people to really have a sense of accountability for the well being of each other. So rather than thinking about what he will do for “me”, “our people”, “black people”… let’s think about how he has united so many people across different racial backgrounds, ethnicities, and age to come together around a common ground of making things better for everyone. Its just a plus that he happens to be a black man!! I mean its great…a president that can play some real ball

So come on people…let’s elect him and with him try to make this country and this world better for everyone.

Besides, I hope most of these people talking ‘yes we can’ are voting. I know many people here are, and God Bless every one of you. You make the Dream a reality. Need more, though. And, talking about how white folk don’t want him in office doesn’t help when it’s white folk getting ready to put him there. I’ve seen more than a few black folk ready to keep him out of office, so it’s not entirely ‘black and white’. More like ‘old ways versus new ways’. Race plays a huge role, but black folk need to stop pretending we’re the only ones to get Obama to where he is — poor Obama, who could barely get negros to look at him pre-Iowa (moment of truth: I was one of them). We’ll see what happens.

Time to really embrace the new.

the OP might be a bigot. however, for me, it probably means that black folk need to grow up? because, at least here in America, there’s a lot of growing up and growing beyond that needs to be done.
