I have far more respect for the white woman who dates a brother for money with a legit job than the black female who dates a brother for money with an illegal job, i.e. drug dealer, stealing, etc.

The FACTS of the matter is, black females and her desire for balling bad boys have been far more detrimental to the black community than these black men, few and far between, who date white or non black women. 1.Why is the child described as ‘Monday baby swirl’? that is wrong, and whomever thought of that title needs a slap.

2.On interracial dating: whomever you fall in love with is your business, true love is color blind. My issue falls with the people who date other races as a preference or because they believe that they are better than the people within their own races. Its obvious that almost everyone on this page defines anything caucasian as the cream of the crop and its just depressing when you consider the fact that most of the commenter’s are black. What we need to realize is that this is a learned philosophy. Understandably self-hate is taught to us from the cradle. Our own hair textures are describe as nappy or bad hair. our noses are too wide, our lips are too big, and t.v. only personifies us as drug-dealers, thugs, hoodrats and welfare babies. The sad part about it is that we idolize these things and through this grow up to pursue materialistic things that really don’t mean anything. We’re always after what the white man has instead of trying to better the circumstances we were given. And then once we’ve ‘made it’ we go out and seek a partner that stands for that same mind-set: a ‘causcasian.’ Its sorry, we’ve got to do better. It’s not about who will or wont give someone ‘play,’ its about the euro-centric standards that we’ve been conditioned to believe are best. We need to look to ourselves for beauty and life standards rather than the stereotypical and often racist media.

3.The whole biracial or mulatto thing is ridiculous: the child is black. Biracial isn’t defined as an ethnicity or a race. Its not listed on any application or paper work you’ll ever fill out. The fact of the matter is that all black Americans are comprised of 18-20% caucasian blood and 1-3% native American. None of us are ‘completely black’. If we’re going to call him multi-racial then we must give the title to the rest of the American extension of the black race. None of us are ‘purely’ black. Why do people think our skin complexions have such a wide range? It’s not because of some freak accident, it’s genetics. Black genes are dominant, meaning that regardless of whether or not one of your parents is of another race you will still ‘appear’ to be black. Put him next to another ‘black’ baby and you will find no difference because there isn’t one to be found. I hate it when people try to use genetic diversity as a means to place one being above another, when the truth of matter is that we all possess diverse backgrounds and family histories.

FYI, there are actually people who when they look at people see the person and not his or her skin colour. I am a Canadian who worked in New York City for many years in the Bronx. I worked with African-American and Africans. Truth be told, my African co-workers and I felt more in-sympatico with each other than I did with my fellow North Americans and they did with their fellow Africaners. We shared a similar British cultural background and were not encumbered by the animosity that exists between white and blacks in the US today. I can’t tell you how many of my African-American colleagues came back from their visits to Canada and told me that for once they didn’t feel whatever it is they feel between white people in the US and themselves. I told them that Canada, while not nearly perfect, has its own unique history which is quite different than American history. I just wish African-Americans would realize that people outside the US are not the same as people inside the US and to give us a freakin’ break. Love is love. Love and family should be celebrated. To hate upon this woman just because she is not black is just as racist as if I were to hate upon her husband because he is not white
