Based on what I read so far, it sounds like his defense team was only good for getting the trial delayed. They didn’t put up much of a fight in court. Did R. Kelly not pay the victim enough money to testify on his behalf? Her not getting up in court and saying it was not her is going to hurt him more than it will hurt the prosecution not to have her as a witness.

yeah but w/out the witness….no matter how many people close to her testify that it is indeed her on the tape….her not admitting to it herself raises doubt……and that is enough for him to walk…

That’s alot to have to remember besides the video itself which would be the only real evidence they have.

If they put the girl on the stand then that opens it up for the prosecutor to question her and they do not want her to talk at all. So like someone else said by her not talking it raises doubt and someone on the jury may wonder if it is her or not.

They need more than just the tape plain and simple. In the MJ case they had victim’s to testify and that wasn’t enough so I think he will walk.

Sparkle lied on the stand about the lawyer Buddy Myers sending a representative to show her the tape. That was stipulated to in court yesterday. Van Allen’s testimony was impeached by Palladino and the law clerk last week. So, the two star prosecution witnesses aren’t credible. The tape is admittedly very low quality. The defense’s expert testified there is no mole. There simply isn’t conclusive evidence to convict.

HUH? How do figure that by the girl denying it was her in the tape is going to hurt him? As long as they both play “dumb”, the prosecution doesn’t have a leg to stand on, especially if all of the witnesses are people with an ax to grind with Kelly. The defense has put up enough fight in discrediting all of the witnesses so far.

I really hope he doesn’t away with this any longer than he has…

r kelly lawyers know exactly what theyre doing .. remember they dont have to find him innocent.. not guilty works too and if there is one shred of reasonable doubt that will get the job done. theyre doing a good job of muddying the waters. everything the prosecution states, they bring a expert to refute it. he’ll get off on a technicality because the jury wont be able to say beyond a shadow of a doubt he did it.

Anyone that has seen the tape knows that its him. That may not hold up in court because of the characters involved though afterwards he can pretend that it never happend if he is not found guilty.

Long story short he told the judge today he will not testify…

Dunno what to say about this. Child molestation should be dealt with severely but 15yrs in prison would be a death sentence for Kelly not sure he deserves that.
