What’s Up With Ole Girl’s Eyebrows??

No really, is the powdered eyebrow look is right now? Or is that Solange just being “different”? Here she is arriving at the TRL studios yesterday rockin a Rihanna-style space boot. Nice try Solange, but we don’t know if we’re feelin those eyebrows.

she may have just gotten her eyebrows threaded. I know when they do this they put baby powder on your eyebrows before they thread them. Why I don’t know but that’s what them brows look like… or it could be a glare from the lense…

Threading is an Asian thing. They use some type of thread to shape your eyebrows. I’ve heard that it’s less painful than waxing or tweezing your eyebrows and it makes the eyebrows look cleaner. You can probably go to your local nail salon and get it do.

Thanks, you’re the only one to answer my ? I’ve never heard of that and I go to a nail salon to get mine waxed…Just never heard of threading. Have you ever had it done? Does it really work and look good?

you have to try treading, I have been doing it for over £10 years now. It gives an instant face lift and makes your eyes really pop, it looks better if you have thick eyebrows like Solange. pay closer attention to arabic and asian women’s eyes, they all do threading. It’s not a special thread used just cotton standard thread. Try and check online for pictures and videos. I live in Europe ,so can’t recommend anywhere for you, all I know is that it’s done best by asians and Arabs. Just be careful not to be overcharged it’s a very in-expensive procedure ($6), but now more ‘western’ women and celebrities are catching on some salons are over inflating their prices ($80) – hope that helps?
I have my brows threaded and they have never used any type of powder. Hers do not look cleanly/recently done but that may be exactly it because she has the same powder isht in her armpit…lol. Absolutely GORGEOUS girl at any rate. We all have our days.
@biracial bombshell – You MUST try it. It takes about 10 minutes, costs about $10 and you will NEVER want your brows done any other way. Absolutely amazing that they can do that with an ordinary piece of thread. Lasts for WEEKS!
My Indian co-worker taught me how to thread my own brows, but I’d rather someone else inflict pain on me. If you live in Atlanta go to Hair Images on North Druid Hills by the Target and ask for Shilpa. She does a bang up job!
