The mayor has a valid point. Jim Jones would make a bigger impact if he rapped about more positive, influential content than glorifying violence and drugs and then rapping in some aids concert. In fact its better that he was denied! One less opportunity for people to listen to songs about hoes, violence and drugs.

It’s obvious to me that they don’t want a rapper performing, if they are judging the artist by their lyrics. They should bring Tye Tribbett to perform. Cause all of these rappers are talking about nothing. (Except T.I, I really like the new direction of his new song. Sometimes the Lord has to bring us to our knees for us to see the light.)

Jim Jones is about as ignorant as they come. I applaud the Mayor for recognizing this. They can find a much better candidate to endorse HIV testing day. The message Jim Jones promotes and personifies is a huge factor to the alarming rates of HIV in our community in the first place, to have him there would be hypocritical and most of all send a mixed message to the youth. Jim Jones is di*k head.
