A judge ruled in favor of Bugs Monkey this morning:
50 CENT’s ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins has been ordered to pay $4,500 (GBP2,250) in unpaid rent on the charred remains of the rapper’s New York home. Lawyers for the two parties appeared at Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday for a hearing in relation to Tompkins’ $50 million breach of contract suit against the In Da Club star. But after hearing how Tompkins has been withholding her rent from the star since May, Justice Carol Edmead ruled she must hand over the cash in full – setting the deadline for Friday, June 13th.
[The jugde] told Tompkins’ attorney, Paul Catsandonis: “She better pay it by the end of the week. Do you understand?” Tompkins told the court: “We lost everything. All we have is the clothes we jumped out of the window with.”
Just a small victory for No Cents. But having lost damn near everything in the blaze, it may be a little bit of a challenge getting ole girl to cough up that payment. Check out pics of Shaniqua leaving the courthouse:

I think they both should step back and take a deep breath. In the next few years when wonder why their child has severe anger issues they can look back on this time and see why. I can guarantee you that some of this women who are making the harshest comments have a child that is not being taken care of by the father. The bottom line was he was not paying child support and that is how all of these started. It explains the attitude of why alot of these young men don’t take care of their children. If you started taking more of this young men too court whether they have a job or not, they would stop leaving babies everywhere they went. This young genereation really scares me sometime.

I wasn’t there so of course I don’t KNOW what happened but from the time I first read this my first thought was that SHE burned down the house, not 50. Now if the fire happened on a night when his son was with him I may have thought differently but I think she did it because she was mad she had to pay rent and mad she had to move. When she demanded more money the judge asked her for proof of why she needed more money. On top of that the judge questioned about what she did with the 300,000dollars per year that she was given since he became famous. She had no proof of that either. That’s why the judge ordered that her child support be lowered because of the way she handled the money she was already given and how she handled the house that he provided for her and the son. When you are allowed to lived in a house owned by another person who is subsequently your landlord, other people that live in the house as subleasers must pay rent. She was in a 2million dollar house which requires over 4grand a month to live. She didn’t wanna pay up and obide by the rules of the owner, which is why she got evicted. Had she invested the money, went to school, and started a trust fund for her son, she would have had proof of what the money was being used for. Your bags, cars, and expensive lifestyles have no means in this case, that’s only for married women.

when I went to child support they said rent and utilities are even half the responsibliity of the absent parent. The fact that he does occupy a room and does use electricity and water would also be split in half. With that being said… the $700 a month I get only covers what he would be doing if he lived in the house. I still have to contribute my half… So together that $1,400 a month and that’s what I live off of. Yea, I can do it on my own with the income I have but if his father was 50 cent, I would expect him to give more. Eveyone wants their kids to have the best Right? and if he can afford it.. why not?

Simply Exctasy, If you use 1400dollars a month of rent, utilities, groceries, gas, etc then the courts have granted you the right amount. If more is needed then I see you not having a problem getting it if you have the right paperwork to show that it is needed. Shaniqua did have the life 25grand a month tax free? Some people don’t see that in a year working while she sits on her tail. His son was living more than right and so was she which was the problem. She can be a girlfriend all she wants. She was never a wife which entitles her to nothing. Next time someone promises her something she needs to be smart and get it in writing. Then again she doesn’t have much of an education.

what y’all seem to forget is that 50 has been paying her child support since he came out in 2003 without any court forcing him to, he was paying this (as he should) on his own as every father should. She has been living in a house rent free and unemployed collecting money (15K a month to be exact) for the last 5 years. She started to demand 50K a month after the Vitamin Water deal came through for 50. 50 saw that she was gettin’ out hand and decided to have the court impose how much she should get; the court did an independent investigation and found out she greatly exaggerated her expense and decided BASED ON HER & THEIR CHILD’S EXPENSES that 50 is required to pay her $6,700. If she didn’t get greedy everything would be fine now. If she was smart with all though money she’s received since 2003 and not having to worry about rent/mortgage, car payments, etc. she should have enough to buy her own property but she didn’t do that. Everything that’s happening to her is her own doing.

I don’t know if she was paying a car note with the money. That may have been an included expense of the 500 thousand 50 claims he gave her. Reading some of the comments on here, I’m stunned. What do you have to be on to still somehow find 50 at fault in this situation. And for the record, she only has to make ONE payment of $4,500 because thats what the fair market value for that house as a RENTAL would be. ONE payment. She hasn’t been paying him shit, ever.

I have to question the judge here. I spoke with my cousins husband, who is a judge, and he seems to think that this particular judge is partial to 50. I hate to say it, but one needs to wonder if he has paid this judge or something. I know that where I live if you don’t pay your rent or mortgage, the most they can do is evict you from the property. Yes your credit goes bad, but just like any loan you default on, the most they can do is foreclose, or repossess. Since the property burned down, and under suspicious circumstances, technically the most the owner of the property could do when she defaulted on the payments is evict her. Since there no longer is a property then she is not liable to the owner for unpaid rent, unless it is proven that she burned the property, and in that case she will be up on felony arson charges. I really don’t see what grounds the judge has here to order past due payments to be paid, when in reality the most that couldv’e been done is to evict for non payment. Needless to say she has been evicted permanently.
