As for all of this violence going on life is to short to nnot care for another’s, wat if that was your son, brother, uncle ,cousin, father wat would you do come on people the negativity has to stop. Im a mother of a 2yr old son and to be honest im afraid to take my son to daycare cause of violence and im from DC so think about it is taking a life worth giving up your own? lack of parenting and love. kids need love protection and direction and w/o it this is what happens. i hate that for the mom, its hard enought to lose a child but in front of his mother, thats just crazy. its only going to get worse…we dont stand up for our neghborhoods any longer. why arent there any neighborhood meetings over this crap? y r we just waiting for the police to solve these problems when we clearly know that will never happen. we can either let these lost minds scare us into not saying or doing anything or we can come togther in hard times like out parent grandparents and great grandparents and take a stand. w/o some type of dratsic measures this is not going to stop, only get more intense…im praying for this young man

Yes the violence is really bad and it does not seem to be getting any better.
And it is so sad that some people do not value life anymore. And it’s not just the ones who are losing their life to this nonsense it’s also the ones who are committing theses acts of violence because their lives as the know it is ruined as well. The families of these people are very greatly impacted by this too.
Kiko is only 14, his mom is holding up as well as can be expected.
And I think I can speak for her when I say that the prayers are greatly appreciated and God bless everyone that this has affected.

@Uncle E….I grew up in the Avenues, all those L.A. spots & more were natural stompin grounds, and I also have a bunch of friends & fam on both sides of the rag, so I been pretty much “errwhere” in L.A. I’ve been tranplanted to Orange County (boring…yawn) due to work for about 11 years now, but I still hit L.A. every couple of weekends to holla at the folks, etc. Don’t want peeps thinkin I left the hood and forgot where I came from!! LOL, but that ain’t crackin fo sho…lot’s of changes out there, one day a business is there, next it’s demolished and replaced with a strip mall. A bra be missin his fish markets & bbq spots too…feel me? And props for recognizing that change in times, by parking those sweet @$$ classics…some cats let pride get in the way, and end up in a predicament.
