Swizz Beatz addresses the drama between him, his ex-wifey, and Alicia Keys:
“Everybody can have their fun right now talking that dumb sh– about my divorce and all that. I’mma give them something to talk about. People get divorced every f—in’ day. They need to worry about more serious things.”
The big rumor in the tabloids is that Swizz and his wife broke up over the proverbial “other woman.” What made the story so sensational was that the alleged mistress in this case was Grammy winner Alicia Keys. Swizz dismissed it.
“It ain’t even bad. My divorce, it ain’t nothing bad. It’s just us moving on. Me and Shonda are super good. It is what it is. [The press] are nine months late on the situation. It’s a headache to me. We been separated nine or 10 months already. I’m not hiding anything,” he added. “I can see if I was hiding something. I’m a grown man. Nobody is living no perfect life. Mashonda has a single coming out that I funded, photo shoots that I funded. We made our statement that we’re still working together. They didn’t wanna believe it. I said I would be continuing to support her career. Nobody wants to look at that sh–. They wanna look at ‘Alicia Keys.’ That sh– is ignorant.”

Very well said. No doubt if Alicia was involved I am highly dissappointed in her as far as character goes in some ways. She should have just waited for the final step which was divorce. That’s if this story is true.
On the other hand I feel that Mashonda outed the name for publicity and to try and destroy Alicia’s fame. Alicia is not the first woman Swizz beats was every linked to, yet Mashonda felt she should take the time to mention her name. What about all the other women your husband slept with? I think people still want to believe in this rumor because that is the only reason why i could read some of your posts about him not clearing anything up. From what i took from the interview was a man that was completely upset about how people was discussing his private life. Then to put alicia keys in the mix because a site reported it was ignorant and his response reflected that. Him and Mashonda are divorce, there was never an affair with Alicia Keys and he is a grown man. He took time to address something that cause so much drama and i believe that should be worth noting.
It was sad how people believed in this rumor and started calling Alicia a home wrecker without actually knowing if it was true. Now that the truth is out i think this is a good lesson for getting wrap up into internet rumors so minus the home wrecker comments i think this served as something good for future accounts. Trust me there will be thousands more rumors. This was no different, but you just have to know that the majority of them are fake. just my thoughts.

The big deal why do people believe gossip sites? Its called gossip which is all he say, she say. anything about this whole situation could all me cir*****stantial. how do we know mashonda didnt start all this to get some publicity on her upcoming project. For the last time, you cannot just make up something about someone, put it in print, and not pay for it… especially someone who has an image to maintain. If that is the case, where is this Jeff Robinson now? Shouldn’t he be going for Mashonda’s head? Alicia went back and forth with 50 Cent and the magazine she interviewed with about her statements which she felt were being misconstrued.

I am well aware of when and where it began – MTO. What I don’t remember ever seeing is a statement from Alicia. I know the couple, as a whole, released a statement the day after MTO released their rumor. Then I recall a couple days after that a rumor began, which was heavily believed to have been released by Mashonda’s camp, and then the interview. wow this is all funny as hell. the sad thing is i actually believe the “rumors” and I’m a avid listener to her music. One note is that alicia may not be the woman some may expect her to be from public appearances. From what my friend says, she’s self centered and often times arrogant in nature.
