She stated she wasn’t trying to be skinny it was about getting healthy. Who cares if she isn’t super thin. The average female size is 14. Latifah has always embraced her curves. Alot of women need to take her example, she is a great role model who does great things.

I swear I said this very thing in the other article about her.

She has no desire to be skinny and losing all kinds of weight. She just wants a better health profile, i.e. not being at risk for diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure. I’m sure with her weight loss all of those numbers improved on her health screening. And we also don’t know her family medical history either.

I don’t know what her weight loss goals were but she needs to lose 50-70 pounds. This picture of her in swim attire is making me gag.

I don’t know why jenny craig asked her to be a spokes person. She does not have the will power to curtail her eating. She also does not have the stamina to exercise to reduce her fat and turn it into muscle.

I’m so tired of women making excuses to stay fat. This statement about her learning to embrace her curves is a load of bull. There isn’t anything healthy or attractive about embracing rolls of fat.

It is inappropriate to make people think that overweight is fine. So many people are overwieght that when they see a healthy person such as myself, at the appropriate weight for my size according to the health chart, They accuse us of being anorexic or say we need more meat on us. This whole idea that big is beautiful is going to far. Wake up people!

You sound like an ignoramus for real. First of all not all people are fat by choice. Some medications, for example, cause you to gain weight. You don’t know what her issues are. Maybe it is physically impossible for reasons (other than surgery) for her to be 150lbs. If she is happy about it then what is it to you? Do you pay her bills or her personal trainer fees. No, so STFU. If you don’t know the whole story please sit your azz down somewhere.

I’M JUST ME you are a fool. She is fat by choice. Her choices are not being able to control herself and not having the determination to do something about it. If she can lose 15 pounds then it is possible to lose 15 more and so on. She is not happy with her shape because if she was then she wouldn’t be using jenny craig for a solution. First of all I can easily admit I just lost 75lbs and an working on the rest! I am 182lbs…which is only (according to that Amerian Health Chart or whatever it i called) I am only 13lbs away from my my target weight for my height. Thank you very much. Nor do I eat fries, beef, pork, shakes (lactose intolerant dumbazz). So you sounds stupid right now.

I AM 5 FT EVEN, WEIGHING IIN AT 110 LBS. RECENTLY I HAD A HEALTH ASSESMENT. WHEN I GOT MY RESULTS BACK, IT STATED THAT I WAS PERFECTLY HEALTHY. LESS THAN 20 PERCENT BODY FAT. MY SHAPE IS PERFECT, NO FLABBY STOMACH, EXCESS FAT. NO DANGER OF HYPERTENSION, DIABETES, HEART DISEASE, ECT ECT. FUNNY THING IS, I DONT WORK OUT AT ALL. I CAN DANCE MY ASS OFF, BUT I DONT EVEN DO THAT AS OFTEN AS I’D LIKE TO. MY EATING HABITS ARE NOT MONITORED SO I PRETTY MUCH PIG OUT. (NOW IM NOT SAYING THIS IS A POSITIVE WAY TO BE..LOL) HOWEVER, I’VE REALIZED THAT IVE BEEN BLESSED WITH A RIDICULOUS METABOLISM, AND NO FAMILY HISTORY OF OBESITY (OR OTHER HEALTH ISSUES) ON EITHER SIDE. SOME PEOPLE HAVE THE GENES TO BE OBESE, AND IT IS MUCH HARDER FOR THEM TO BE THIN, OR AVERAGE. AND WHAT IVE LEARNED AS IVE GOTTEN OLDER IS THAT A PERSON DOES NOT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE AN EXCESSIVE EATER TO BE OVERWEIGHT. I HAVE A BEST FRIEND WHO IS 5FT11 AND SHE’S A LARGER WOMAN. BUT SHE EATS WAY LESS THAN I DO, AND TO TOP THAT, SHE’S A VEGETARIAN!! SHE FREQUENTS THE GYM, AND HER JOB REQUIRES MORE ACTIVITY THAN MINE. I COMMEND LATIFAH FOR HER EFFORTS. IF SHE NEVER GETS TO BE A SIZE 5, AS LONG AS SHE IS TRYING TO THE BEST OF HER ABILITY.

I’ve always thought that only Olympic swimmers look good in bathing suits. The rest of us look like what we are: nature’s average efforts.

I like the way Latifah looks. She’s got a Lillian Russell figure. She’s luscious and tomboyish (OK, butch)at the same time. She can be slinky, glamorous, around the way, lots of looks. And she’s trying to get healthier! Stop dogging her out!

i love queen, and love being a black women, but let’s face it…alot of us are fat asses. not me. i have a healthy dose of vanity and a secret that keeps the fat away. pssst…come closer…it’s called a mirror.

My perception was correct. A fatso. Upset because I called it like I see it. Go hit that treadmill. Typing on the computer all day and sitting on your huge ass is no exercise. My measurements are perfect, 5″5 and 124 pounds with 10 percent body fat. 182 pounds is overweight unless you are a man 5’7 inches or taller. A women who weighs in at 182 is large meaning XX. DUMB ASS!
