This ridiculous pin was being sold at the Texas Republican State Convention recently. You can always count on the Republicans to keep those crosses-a-burnin’, so to speak. Feeble attempts such as these are barely worth mentioning, and do nothing but prove that Barack Obama is truly worthy of the nation’s highest office.

YES WE CAN!!!

I personally could believe some red neck created this. I don’t know if this is really real or not but I could believe something like this is being worn on someone who still drives around or posts the Confederate Flag.

It doesn’t matter. It is time for a change! OBAMA ’08 & ’12!!!

  • Ms Nobody

Yes, it’s photoshopped!!! Any fool can see that!

  • #1 stan

    SMH

  • sickofit

If it’s barely worth mentioning “Why mention it?”

  • I WONDER WHY

White people are so jealous!!!! They want tans, lips, hips, and rhythm. But, it has to come naturally. STOP HATING WHITE FOLKS, YOU’RE SHOWING YOUR ENVY!!

  • Vinandi

its only the beginiing, all the inherent , overt and covert racism will now come out in full force!

Unfortunatley they are toomany people ( White/Latino and even Blacks and other ethnic groups) who are not ready, can not fathom and blantantly can not stand the thought of a Black man as their leader! Regardless of the fact that he is the better candidate!

Rupert Murdoch and his Fox /SKy News and his buddies have already started thir onslaught!

    it is a sad reality!

  • http://USAirForce USAF

    this better be fake..

  • Chaka

    We haven’t seen anything yet.

  • jenny

can you guys be a tadbit more orignial with the scoop ? i already saw this on perez hilton ! smh……LATEEEEE

  • BlackGirlLost

this look like some sh*t some racist-ass, country-ass, redneck-ass, barefoot, cousin-datin’, banjo-pickin’ asshole from texas would do. i live in texas and this would not shock me one bit. texas has got to be one of the most ignorant places in existence. Cali here I come!!!

  • justareader

So what, if it is true, it’s a joke.. quite being so daym sensitive… everybody else can joke on any other race, but the let the joke be on the black folks, IT’S RACSIST.. stfu.. SMH

  • anon

I’m glad this is happening because it showcases to the world how racist this country still is. It quiets the nay sayers (white and black)who say that racism doesn’t exist and that blacks just want hand outs. I knew all this subtle behind closed doors racism would come to light the closer Obama got to the White House.

  • ThatTouchOfPink

    I G N O R A N C E . . .people are scared.

I won’t entertain this any longer

  • http://yahoo kingston

The pin is a 100% not fake it was sold by a independent retailer at the GOP republican convention.

  • COME ON

    To Vanandi

Speak only for yourself, especially not for black folks because we are really ready for the right person to run this country even though he is black big deal. YOU SOUND LIKE ONE OF THOSE KKK MOTHER FU—– STANDING IN THE CORNER WITH YOUR GUN COCKED READY TO KILL HIM, LIKE YOUR KIND DID MLK MEGAR, ECT…………. THIS WORLD WILL NEVER BE A BETTER PLACE AS LONG AS PEOPLE LIKE YOU RESIDE IN IT. YOU ARE REALLY AND TRULY A RELIC FROM OUR PAST, AND CONTINUING IN THE FUTURE. NOW THAT’S THE SAD TRUTH.

  • Til You Do Right By Me…

    Hey Ya’ll,

No it’s real. The talking heads were chatting about it last night. My thing is who cares..you know they gonna try and do a whole lot of stupid stuff…just don’t fall for the noise and get distracted from the real issues.

However, if I must comment on the button specifically: Yes, it’s the BLACK HOUSE cuz it was built by BLACKS. It has always been the BLACK HOUSE. Shoot DC was designed by a black man! Check your history!

    @ anon:

    True..very True!

  • I’m Just Me

    @ justareader

Maybe you need to continue to stay just a reader with a comment like that.

This man is making history and very well likely (imho) to become the next president. What if this was your father??? Your son?? Although it still exists in this day and time there is no place for racism in this country (reall world) when gas is well over $4.00 a gallon and people cannot even get federal funding for schools, community centers, etc. because all of our funds are going to this war. The price of food is sky rocketing, people cannot get healthcare and the list goes on and on. I think you need to STFU and sit down somewhere. This is not a joke and for you or anyone else who thinks it is, you need to wake up to the realities of the real world and know that here and abroad racism does exist and all it does is hold back a group of people (in this case Americans) from reaching toward and achieving that greater goal. We are supposed to be the UNITED States, yet this country is in disarray and full of hate. SMDH @ people who think like you. Always quick to call something a joke. We live it daily!

  • JAY

CON PEOPLE..ITS A CON… AS FAKE AS LAST NIGHTS LAKER VICTORY

  • BlackGirlLost

Oh and to all of you who think the pin above is fake. ….It’s NOT. It’s been all over the news and the radio here in texas.

  • Vinandi

    @Come On

which part of what I wrote do you not understand??

    FYI- I am Black!

I said Obama is the best candidate for the position, HOWEVER racism is still very much present and in practice and there are those who do not want a Black man as Pres ( Most of them are White, but also other ethnic minorities particularly the Clinton supporters!, simple as that, and now campaigning for the Nov election has started, those opposed to Obama, will use every diirty racist trick in the book to play on peoples fears and ignorance of the the thought of having a Black pres.

  • Somer

At least they are acknowledging that they are going to lose.

  • BlackGirlLost

@sickofit: People are just plain rude here. I thought it was just me, like maybe I was being to sensitive, but pretty much everyone that I’ve met that moved here says the same things. It maybe just where I am in texas, but I really do believe it is texas as a whole. I’m in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and people still treat Black folks different than they do other races. I don’t let it make or break me, but, I can’t help but notice it. And it’s not just a Black/White thing. Other races treat Black people different out here too. I wouldn’t ever tell anyone NOT to move here but, personally, I gotta get the HELL outta this wack-ass town!!!

  • Kompton’s Kutie

They hate us, yet they try to be like us everyday.

  • Aunt Viv

They sound shook and stupid. It’s all that turpentine folks…

  • Lauren

    Morning All…

And first off Barack isn’t 100% Black, so no we’ll call it the damn mixed house…IDIOTS!

  • sickofit

    @BlackGirlLost

Dallas-Fort Worth, I have a lot of family that live in that area. Most of the time, when I go to Texas to visit I am in a city called Burleson. Wow that is sad to hear. Well if you are moving to Cali, be prepared to double your cost of living.

  • enigma

The button is shocking but black people also need to stop the jokes about if we have a black president we going to be bbqing on the front lawn and others in that line because we are pretty much saying the same thing the button is insinuating(?)

  • WhatsYoursIsMine

There’s a lot of different items out there for sale at these conventions, and online. Keep in mind, the actual Republican party isn’t selling these, just a vendor at the convention.

I was in Austin for the TX Democratic Convention and saw a few guys outside selling, “Paint the Whitehouse Black” shirts with a black and white picture of Barack. You can sell pretty much anything, so I’m not surprised.

Just like the guys I’ve seen in the “Bros before Hos” shirts with Barack and Hillary’s pictures on them.

  • Juicy R♥

whoever came up with this idea is soo wack!!

went all out they even had the nerve to make the pin black with white letters.

if Obama is in the white house or not its still the white house

  • I’m Just Me

    @ Lady Lynn

Yes! I understand where you are coming from. Back in those slavery times most abolitionists were Republicans and they are the ones who fought for freedom of the slaves. But I believe the Republicans being for the blacks changes around the time of FDR when he created a lot of the programming (now welfare) that help uplift the black people in the 1930s. The tide has shifted and now the Democrats are for the impoverished and the Republicans are about the almighty dollar and doing everything they have to keep it in their own pockets instead of for the upliftment of the impoverished in this country.

  • Anna

If it can’t be called the White House, then the Republicans are racist and are trying to say that only a white president can live in that house. I thought segregation was abolished? A presidential house for a white president and a different one for a president who is black? Hmmmm!

  • Jahpson

    SMDH!!!!!!!!!

  • Jahpson

    Anna

    good point!

  • Ms Sharmaine

I’m sure McCain’s old ass was passing them out along with the the one-tooth hillbillies that support him!

The bottom line is RACISM IS VERY MUCH ALIVE IN AMERICA!!

  • Lady elle

    @ Anna

    Thank You….

  • Emma

Republicans are just showing that they cannot compete on the issues with Barack, so they resort tp personal attacks. They are tuly sad.

  • Emma

Republicans are just showing that they cannot compete on the issues with Barack, so they resort to personal attacks. They are truly sad.

  • jamie

im refusing to believe this. i can’t.

  • MDM.ORG

Well whether this is photoshop or not, I was waiting on some mess like this to come up. I figured it would especially since I saw a small news flash of Obama jokingly saying that he would put a basketball court in the White House. Now I thought it was funny, but you know folks take everything to extremes. Its as though everyword is being picked apart, but let McCain say something incorrect- he gets a pass.

  • Ara

BARACK OBAMA PRESIDENT 2008!! ALL THE WAY BABY!! YES WE CAN!!

Do not get side tracked by this foolishness, keep your eyes on the prize. Vote! Vote! Vote! Barack Obama in November. Let’s make it happen!!!

  • Miss Grown Ashell

Your Right……….not worth mentioning, however if we as a people don’t pay attention and take a stand we are doomed to take a step back in the time of our Grandma’s & Pa’s from the 50′s & 60′s and I can’t see our young people being able to handle it with the same courage………….just sayin’

  • lanette

YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THE TIME IS NOW!!

  • justmoi

    OMG!

    If that’s genuine, I’m speechless…

  • Doc

this button perfectly summarizes the Republican Party

    Barack for president !

and keep hating republican yall know ya aint going to win in november.

  • luvgossip

    @justareader:

GTFOH! “We” can take a joke…and we’re smart enough to know when it’s not a joke.

For instance, your spelling skills (racsist, rasism) are straight comedy! BTW, I’m Black and Mexican, just like you. Big effin deal.

  • Chuck D.

Those Red Neck Democrats aren’t too fond of minorities BTW. They didnt’t want any Muslim lookin’ folks sitting behing Barack. Hmmmm , go figure yall aint said ne’er a word about that.

  • Dana

yes that pin is real. it’s sad. but if obama is half-white, why is being called “black”, doesn’t make sense to me….ignorant people are everywhere and in every race, black, white, red, purple, orange, any race has some racist people.
