Twitter Files: Dwight Howard Goes After Baby’s Mom Again

Here we go again:

Dwight Howard is accusing his baby mama of endangering the security of their 2-year-old child — and her alleged weapon of choice … Twitter.

Howard just filed another lawsuit against his ex — Royce Lyndsay Reed — claiming she broke a court order by posting photos of their kid on Twitter.

According to documents filed by Howard earlier this month in Florida, Reed was ordered by a judge in 2008 to refrain from posting images of their son Braylon on “blogs, websites, etc.”

The reason behind the 2008 court order — the Orlando Magic star believes throwing the kid’s pics on the web poses “a significant security threat
to the child because [Dwight] is a highly-paid public personality.”

In the docs, Howard is suing Reed for $142,500 — which is $500 for each of her 285 Twitter followers — plus attorney’s fees.

This is comedy…first he was suing for for the amount of clicks her Dwight-bashing post received and now for the amount of Twitter followers??? Classic!

This is so simple and stupid. This is another case of two people who obviously aren’t on the same page. I agree with Dwight there is no reason for this child’s face to be plastered all over the internet. How easy is it to just not post on twitter? very! On the other hand its a damn shame that between two supposed adults they can’t work it out without getting lawyers involved. That will be more harmful to the child than anything. Whether it be verbal or written or implied. This cannot be overridden except by supreme court order. No local Judge can impede on this right. Now this does not apply to slander and etc… But posting pictures is a more recent type of dispute and i would say that the standard has not been set yet so…Idk about that one. If what she says about him being a dead beat dad is true then there is no slander only hard truth if not then she’s in trouble. And she has the right to speak the truth. In my opinion he most likely was the pursuer of the sex and, probably the only one who got an orgasm(as with most cases if truth be told)So the child should live with the same luxury as he his wife and other children. So if that means his mother gets to live it because of him then choose well who you put your seed in As simple as that.

This isnt in the constitution. Basically you are saying that the state has a right to seize the assests of one person and give them to another person above and beyond what is reasonable or consensual.

No kid has a right to live in “luxury.” They do have a right to have their basic needs met. Dwight is the father of that child therefore he has a right as a parent to decide what kind of life style his child lives in.

You obviously don’t know what you are talking about, and to be honest, I don’t really care that much…I do know that her slandering and defaming Mr. Howard’s good name makes her liable for restitution… The “punishment”, depends upon the value of one’s reputation lost because of the libel or slander. Hence, if a celebrity is unable to land a twenty million dollar deal because someone lied about them, the damages could start at twenty million and go up from there. If he wins this law suit, his lawyers could ask he deduct it from what ever money she’s supposed to get for her upkeep.

Not really, I would rather have a client with an angry baby momma then a client that has an angry baby momma and decided to respond publicly with the legal system. Most endorsements will not touch a person who is in any kind of legal action. He could have just as easily said, “She is crazy and angry we are not together” and kept it pushing

But that just my opinion….
