I’m actually a fan of Mayweather, but reading Pac’s history I can understand what his going thru. It’s not that Pac is afraid of needles or any tests, its how it affects his beliefs and superstitions which can ultimately screw up his mindset and shakes his confidence in the ring. And this is definitely to Mayweather’s advantage. I don’t think his superstition is stupid because most if not all great athletes has their own superstition and some are even weirder than Pacs. There are other ways to make sure that Pac is on to something without breaking his mind set comes fight time. Like taking the test minutes after the fight, which I believe Pac agreed to. I want both fighters to step in the ring 100% physically and also mentally, this will give us a true fight and could be one of the best fight of the century.

1) Requested 50/50 split and received it, with no apparent squabbles from Team Mayweather.

2) Requested $10 million per pound fine if Floyd is over 147 lbs and received it.

Mayweather’s Request List:

1) Requested fighting weight be at 154 lbs; request rejected, and settled on Pacquiao’s 147 lb limit.

2) Requested 10 ounce gloves; request rejected, and settled on Pacquiao’s 8 ounce glove limit.

3) Requests RANDOM drug testing, of blood and urine. Request hurts Pacquiao’s feelings, and lawsuit is impending.

As a stipulation of employment, I receive random drug tests. When required, I am given 30 minutes to report to the onsite Medical Building at my power plant, for testing. I suspect many of you have similar rules for continued employment….

Imagine if I told my employer that, due to fear, I would be unable to comply with a Random schedule, but would be more than happy to give a schedule of days which are acceptable to me, for testing. Seriously!

I try to be impartial, see all points of view; and what I conclude is:

Mayweather is being far more accomodating towards Pac’s request than the opposite. It appears that Mayweather will fight Pac wearing catchers mitts, an eye patch and ice skates, but Pac is refusing the most basic tenet of a Professional Athletes’s existence: Random blood/urine testing!

Random blood/urine testing SHOULD NOT be a bargaining tool; it should be a rule. Yet still, Pac runs from it?

You seem to have a basic knowledge of the sport. More than most of these jerks on this site. But you should also know that Manny has agreed to take a blood test, which has never been mandatory in pro boxing anyway, hours after the fight. And there is NOTHING that can’t be detected hours after the fight.

Those other requirements you listed from Manny are part of the negotiating process that EVERY FIGHTER goes through for EVERY FIGHT. They have to agree on glove size, location, purse, etc.

And the fact that Floyd has never requested this from any of his other opponents doesn’t raise any questions? He wants him to take a blood test the night before the fight. What type of silly request is that? Like were you questioning Manny’s boxing integrity before Floyd’s camp shat out those hollow accusations. I doubt it. The only thing we have witnessed was a good boxer get better with each fight until he became a great boxer.

Like what are the basis of their accusations of Manny being a cheater? The Mayweathers have been shitting on Manny for months, which is fine, but once you start to accuse a pro athlete of cheating, you’re indirectly taking money out of their pockets. The issue isn’t dogding demands from a higher authority…it’s about not conceding to unwarranted demands from your peers. If one of your fellow soldiers told you, “hey you seem like someone that gets high daily, you need to take a drug test or you shouldn’t be able to serve”, wouldn’t you tell that guy to eff off? **PBF’s 154 lb request could have been granted by Pac, which would have made it a non-title fight. Which would have still brought in the same amount of money, at the gate….

Point 4 is baseless; just because PBF never requested a blood test of a previous opponent, does not preclude him from any future requests. A Landlord has the option of requesting a Security Deposit from a tenant, based upon factors such as credit score and other intangibles. The renter has the option of trying to find another place to live, or pony up and pay the piper. Not the best analogy, but I like it fine…….

Point one is settled. 50/50 split is fair for both parties. Who should’ve gotten more is pointless as both camps can make argument and it would be a never ending debate.

154lbs fight will never happen as it too disdvantageous for Pacquiao. That’s his walking weight and will only become a second Marquez if he had accepted the offer. If Mayweather has a belt at 154, then MAYBE, Pacquiao’s camp would consider it (i.e. Yuri Foreman). At 154lbs, Mayweather has nothing to offer so it’s a moot point.

Point 3 is plain and simple…honor your contract, otherwise you will get penalized. PBF pulled that crap before and a logical person would not let it happen to him. 300k/lbs is peanuts and will not bring fear to Floyd, so what do you do to make sure he abide by the contract? You are right about your Landlord analogy. He has the option to request all necessary checkups to cover himself. He’s right to request credit checks and the whole nine yards if he so desires on every tenant. But if all of a sudden he demands a new tenant to have a blood test, then he is looking at a discrimination lawsuit as he has not required this from his previous tenants.

I do agree, however, that a higher standard of testing should be in place in every sport. What we have to understand though is that there is a governing body in place to regulate the fight and should let that agency do their job. If a self proclaimed greatest fighter demanded an unconventional testing out from nowhere, then it begs to ponder the reasoning behind it. If one person has been proven clean for a decade from the same agency who have given you the clean results, then why are questioning this agency all of a sudden? It does not make any sense.

If we take a look at the history of both fighters, then some of our questions will be answered.

Both fighters started at relatively the same weight class and age. They both have dominated the fighters they’ve faced and won a lot belts and titles along the way. Difference though is that PBF is undefeated while Pacquioa suffered 3 losses. PBF has won 6 titles in 6 different divisions while Pacquiao has won 7/7. PBF used to be the #1 p4p but has now supplanted by Pacquiao (by the way, while p4p title is mythical, every boxer covets to be #1). PBF has fought great fighters but has also ducked the likes of Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Paul Williams, and others. Pacquiao, on the other hand, has fought the likes of Barrera, Morales, JMM, DLH, Hatton, and most recently Cotto. Now, both Pacquiao and PBF fought Hatton and DLH but there is a glaring difference in the list of all fighters mentioned – Cotto. PBF ducked Cotto while Pacquiao destroyed him. PBF has ducked Mosley and Pacquiao is eyeing to fight him. What does this tell us? While being 43-0 is nice and dandy, it does not remove the fact that PBF has ducked opponents with strong chances to beat him. On the flip side, Pacquiao has continuously taken the underdog side and proven his greatness.

Now, people has started this cheating mess. Again, if we take a look at history of these fighters, then it is Mayweather who’s guilty here. Mayweather did not abide his contract stipulations on the JMM fight, and that my friends is what we call CHEATING. Urinalysis is the only way to test for drugs long after the cycling period. Blood tests can only test within 24-48 hours. The next most accurate way to test for PED’s is hair sample?
