I’ve been meaning to ask about the size of Pacific Islanders. As I understand it, their size is due, in largel part, to natural selection. The biggest and strongest were the only ones able to survive the long trek to the islands which explains their size. There is a big community of them in Redondo Beach not too far from LA.

I agree with ***** (lol @ the name)although Imus’ comment may have seemed racist, I understood what he meant. He was trying to note that it was due to racial profiling that Pacman was arrested six times and this statement can be understood and in fact proven. More black men, athletes or not, are arrested without warrant. Not to excuse their actions, but it has to be mentioned that the occurrence of high profile black men being arrested numerous times occurs at a higher frequency than their whit counterparts. You cannot just look at one side of this story, the full conversation and the tone taken will elucidate what was really meant. Anyone can speculate about Imus’ feelings towards African Americans but I don’t feel that this situation was directly connected with a racially discriminatory attitude; in actuality I think he was actually pointing out the influence of racial discrimination in the practice of law enforcement.

Honestly, I don’t think Imus is racist. He’s doing what he has to do to stay in the news and get more people to listen. I guarantee you I know several black people who listen to his show and weren’t surprised by his nappy headed h0 comment. He says stuff about people of all races, yet no white supremacists come after him for calling them inbred trash, etc.

I do agree that the Rutgers basketball team comment was uncalled for, because they had done nothing to warrant that criticism. Now, I have heard recordings of when he dug into the Duke Lacrosse team for being so irresponsible and stupid, but none of them have Pat Robinson running up to defend their WASP-iness or whatever.

We live in a country with free speech. Just as we’re allowed to post what we want on here, what is said and posted is controlled by the owner (moderator?) of the site. The Radio stations that let him back on the air did it for the $$, they don’t care about Don Imus having a PLATFORM to air his opinions.

If Pacman was in church praying, bathing puppies at the local pound, and helping old ladies across the street, he wouldn’t have had anything to worry about. Pacman shouldn’t be hurt by this, I’m sure he’s had girlfriends/strippers/coaches/homeboys call him horrible names and insult him. He wants to be painted as a victim so he can get some sympathy.

And now Pacman will be running through the new Texas Stadium, or whatever they’re going to call it, when they’re done building it here. Jerry Jones doesn’t hire players based on talent, he likes controversy, and is probably behind this fire being fed.

Some of you seem to be missing the point. Ridiculous behavior does not have a “race” associated with it. All races commit crimes, some more heinous than others. The problem was not discussing PacMan Jones and his decisions, the issue was why did Imus ask, What color he is? The statement was inflammatory and meant to incite emotions from his listeners. The problem with Imus, O’Reilly, Hannity, Neal Bortz and Lars is that they have a large audience that revel in these type of statements. Unfortunately, what I would like to know is why other ethnic groups are NEVER targeted. I know the answer but I would like to know if any of you can decipher the issue instead of looking merely at the surface.

**Please stop using specific artists and suggest their behavior is the reason others do not respect African Americans. That is a ridiculous excuse. If that point was valid, then why aren’t the actions of successful African Americans/Blacks that have not engaged in unacceptable behavior not used as the barometer of respect for the race.

first off nothing is proven that one race commits more crimes than another..if a group of people 50% black and 50% white are all committing crimes around the clock, the black people will be watched and caught 100% of the time. The problem here is not what one race of people is doing because that is impossible to argue. There are many MORE black people that are gainfully employed, well educated and respectful of the law. The problem is that the rediculous stereotypes that plague the black community make it possible for people like YOU to ignore the african americans that do not conform to your stereotypical ideas of the actions of black people always being motivated by criminal intent. You need to stop giving excuses and making statements as to who can blame you for being racist, and examine why you refuse to change ur perceptions to be more in line with REALITY and stop choosing to ignore the educated black people around you and counting them as an exception, rather than the rule.

Also again if u read or listened to the statement made by Imus he is actually refering to the frequency at which black males are profiled, NOT that being black and commiting criminal offenses are correlated.

In short, stupid comments like ‘can you blame us for being racist’ are just that STUPID. If you are a racist acknowledge that fact but don’t blame the actions of others for your being of below average intelligence and limited humanity.

1.No matter how many “educated” black people there are in this world there are 100 more white people with way more success and education.–This is a product of American education. Whites are a minority throughtout the world, so statistically there are 100 times more successful “minorities” throughout the world.

2.We don’t get the special treatment like the black community gets as far as scholarships and government assistance.–42% of federal grants and loans are awarded to minorities yearly. So, 58% would go to whites.

3.We actually have to stay off welfare, not get knocked up, and work for the money we make. We don’t sue a company when we don’t see enough white people working there. We don’t have to make up a language, Ebonics, because our children are so uneducated they can not spell the correct way.—Poor white trash (as you all like to call your unfavorables) are reknown for all of these behaviors, but you must include never wearing shoes and keeping toddlers clothed in dirty t-shirts and pampers.

4.We don’t dedicate an entire college or TV show to ourselves. We actually prove our education and work for what we have. –Harvard, Yale, Bob Jones University. Friends, seinfeild, family guy.

5.Walk into a predominantly black community and then into a predominantly white community and tell me the honest truth who is living life the lawful way. –Meth is the most prevasive drug in American society today. You know where its manufactured? White neighborhoods and trailer parks.
