If you have to resort to violence (yes, that includes spankings) in order to control your children, grown or not, you need to brush up on your parenting skills because that is an immature way to get your point across, and you are no better than a child yourself. Brains>>>>>brawn all day everyday. If my grown child disrespected me to the point where I would want to abuse them, I would just kick them out and let them fend for themselves.

I know children who got spanked on almost a weekly basis, and that didn’t stop them from getting into things they shouldn’t have. I also know children whose parents never laid a hand on them even when they have done wrong and disrespectful things, yet they are healthy, responsible adults.

Learn how to communicate with your children and they will gladly show you the honor and respect that you deserve as a parent.

I totally agree. If you have to beat,whoop,or spank your child, apparently your not doing something right! And it speaks alot about your bad parenting skills.
I have come to believe that whoopings,spankings,beatings,etc. is basically child abuse/domestic abuse and leads the child to one day be abusive(bullyish) and/or take abuse (domestic violence). I also remember once reading something about girls who got whoopings/beatings while growing up, tend to be more promiscious. Btw,most men in prison were whooped growing up.
