Tyra Banks recently announced that she would be ending her talk show. All those people who are working on the show, no longer have a job come the end of the season and that means, Tyra’s ‘bizness’ is about to be put on front street.
“There had been high turnover of employees for years… pretty difficult to work for Tyra. She and the higher-ups on the production staff could be extremely brutal, she really is a diva. Everything had to be done Tyra’s way.”
Tyra Banks being a diva is no surprise because she was put up on that pedestal a long time ago. Also in her defense, doing it her way did land her two Emmys but that doesn’t excuse treating her employees like sh*zz.
The real question is, did the Tyra Banks and her top executives inform the employees that the show was ending before they alerted the media??? Another former employee says probably not:
“It wouldn’t be surprising [if the employees found out through the media] . When the show moved from L.A. to New York, several staffers weren’t even directly told about the change – they heard through the grapevine that it was going to move locations. Even so, a lot of those people gave up their lives on the West Coast so they could continue working for the show. Now they’re out of luck.”
Tyra, it doesn’t sound like you are such a great person to work for. We hope that you appreciate the people who worked behind the scenes to make that show happen everyday because you can’t film it, book the talent and guest, etc. by yourself. The least you could have done was let the employees know before you alerted the media. That’s a real F**KED up way for them to find out that they don’t have a job anymore!!!
