I agree…the word doesnt really offend me (when the right person is saying it, of course). But thats the prob with the word. everyone uses it, not just blacks and that word still has so much power. In my opinion, even more so than back in the day. Now its like, white people will throw that word in our faces to try and remind us of who is in charge. Back then, it was asumed they were in charge. They were the masters. So blacks had to shut up and take it. But since that balance has slightly changed, they still use it to show their ‘power’.
if ya’ll are going to use the word, keep in the community. dont let them hear you say it!

I’m in agreement with Stevie on this one. How long have we been so called trying to “own” the N word? I personally can’t stand the word at all…I hate with all this blatant usage that persons are trying to so called “reinvent” or “own” it pero, no pueden ok. Like I say before, if we really want to get rid of this word, stop using it. If you’re ok with calling each other the word, then you should be ok with others calling you it and that’s the bottom line.
