Police have announced they will not file charges against the b*tch-on-wheels fiancee of late Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry in connection with his death last month. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police announced Wednesday that there was no evidence that Loleini Tonga drove recklessly or with excessive speed last month when Henry was fatally injured after coming off the back of her pickup truck on a curvy residential road.

“The speed limit on Oakdale Road is 35 mph and the estimated speed at the time of accident was between 19-23 mph,” police said in a statement.

Police say Henry and Tonga were arguing at home owned by Tonga’s family in northwest Charlotte on the morning of Dec. 16 when Tonga attempted to drive away. A witness said he saw a shirtless Henry jump into the back of the truck.

A 911 caller said she saw Henry beating on the back window as she drove behind the truck. About a minute later, another 911 caller said he saw an unresponsive man laying in the road.
Henry died a day later of blunt-force trauma to the head. He was 26.

“Homicide detectives interviewed Ms. Tonga who was cooperative throughout the duration of the investigation,” police said. “Her statement was consistent with witness accounts. However, there were no witnesses that actually saw how Mr. Henry came out of the back of the truck.”

Tonga told ESPN this week that Henry jumped out of the back, but was not trying to harm himself. She said she thinks Henry thought he would land safely and may have been scared because he saw someone calling the police.

leave her alone she not a b^tch . he was the idiot for jumping in the back of a moving vehicle

    @nywoman

I hate that the guy’s dead, but that was really stupid of him to jump in the bed of a fleeing truck.

  • juju

yea he waz stupid for jumpin on da back of the truck but she is a b~tch caz of her history of domestic violence and shyt so yall need to shut up caz dey both were wrong in da end and now he’s gone!!!!

    ~dats real b~tcheeeesss

  • FiveStarish

It’s a lose/lose situation. Even if she had intended to hurt him; if she goes to prison the kids would not have either parent and that’s just devastating.

  • JK

I don’t think he jumped off the back of that damn truck. And, I don’t believe that she was going that speed, in the heat of the moment with him banging on the window she was probably doing about 50 mph.

  • Kay-The Beautiful One

Its really confusing bc no one know the real story but them,so i don’t want to judge the situation,he could have jumped or she could have move the car so that he could fall out, we don’t know, but its sad, and now his kids have to grow up w/o a dad.

  • MzThickWitIt

Maybe not on purpose… but i definitely believe she’s responsible

  • http://charactercorner.blogspot.com/ Attorneymom

Mr. Bengal should not have jumped on the back of the truck and then subsequently jumped off. Blank stare. He wasn’t Black Superman. WT__?? Remember: Your talent may help you obtain success, but it is your character that will help you maintain it. Selah

Lets be real. Noone knows what the heck happen except for the parites involved. It’s easy for us to say he shouldnt have tried to jump on the back of the truck. But lets face it, we have all done some dumb things in the heat of an argument. Death doesnt set up appointments with anyone. This fatal accident couldve been the result of two different ways.
    1. The fiance wasnt infact going the speeding limit and he couldnt hold on, thus flinging him off the truck.
    2. The fiance was infact going the speed limit and he jumped out, but landed on his head.

The way you break a fall means everything. I fell down a flight of metal steps once in middle school. But i protected my head, by curling in a fetal position. I only ended up breaking my ankle. But it couldve been much worse….Fact check first people!

  • 4 REAL

She definitely got away with SOMETHING.

So why did someone ELSE have to call 911 b/c they FOUND HIM???????????? Since she knew he was on the truck and then NOT there and he only had ONNNNNNNNNE ARM (other in a cast), why not go back and check on him? He was unarmed and she was in a big azz truck! No! She left him for DEAD!

  • chocalatetunda

Damn didnt no good come from this. She lost the love of her life and their kids lost their father. But why would you jump on the back on a moving truck. No good came outta that. Nobody wins. Also why put her in jail they where both at fault. Why take the last parent away from the kids??????

  • Sylmarvelous

At first when I heard the story, I thought she could’ve been going faster which is why he was flown from the truck. But now evidence says she wasn’t going that fast. It’s hard to go against forensics but man, I don’t know what to think…If there’s some wrong-doing, it’ll come out eventually. :(

  • Tiah

I thinks he should get charged and needs to be investigated more into.. she should be charged with something. She was very much liable as he was. He should have got onto the back of the truck and the skid marks that was left on the lawn explains how fast she was going and id was not under 20 mph.. she needs to have been charged with manslaughter if not murder it was both of there silly asses fault

She is a murder all you have to do is look at the skit marks left on the ground.. And yeah he probably was wrong for jumping on the back of that truck but dam did she have to drive off like she did? I think not and if he was soo abusive then why in the [Hell] was she willing to marry him? And trust this and as my Grandmother always said don’t no deed rather it’s good or bad go unrewarded she will get whats coming to her bet that!!

I’m sure the cops didn’t pull that number out of their ass. It’s actually pretty easy to tell how fast vehicles are going…

  • http://www.misstastic.wordpress.com GO GATORS

Curvy road + driving + anger = I am pretty sure she would have stopped if she saw him laying unresponsive in the middle of the road. it only takes one curve for you to no longer sick to see what was behind you. Y’all are so quick to place fame without facts. get a life

  • HEARTLESS

If Henry was my brother this b*i*t*c*h would be dead by now.

  • KitKat

How is she a murderer when he’s the one who jumped on the back of the truck and jumped/fell off?? At worse, she’s a cold hearted b*tch for not stopping the truck when she saw that he fell or jumped. He’s the one who voluntarily put himself on the back of the truck.

  • Angels_feet76

Chris Henry wanted to stop her from leaving (it’s no secret she likes to drink all damn day). He didn’t want her doing something stupid. He DID NOT expect her to drive off and he had a broken arm so there wasn’t much he could do except hope she would not take off with him in the truck. He was hopping to resolve the issue with his soon to be wife. He couldn’t even hold on because his arm was broken. She didn’t care if he ended up getting hurt or killed but he loved till the end. That chick is cold blooded and didn’t want to work it out and didn’t care if he was helpless and unable to hang on. Cruel selfish biyatch glad he didn’t wife her before he died!

  • this site owned by a white man and white people loves to blog about black people

i belive chris jumped and fell of the car and when someone is abusive all you think about is getting out of the situation and leave and that was probably what shes was thinking and she didnt hear him fell or anything.
he was violent look at his past just because his arm was broken doesnt mean hes not dangerous he was got damn NFL Player . no wonder why the goverment did 9/11 on your asses you belive everything bossiip post

  • Think About It

If Chris Brown did this to RiRi, he would of gotten arrested ASAP. Tiger did it to his wife; arrested ASAP. But Ms. Tonga to Chris Henry; don’t do it again ma’am. …aaah, what it feels like to be a woman.

  • Don’t Act like You Have Neva Been Through IT!

BULL SYTH! LET ME TRY SOMETHIN LIKE DAT AND I WILL BE LOCKED UP FOR EVA! I’M MAD AS HELL BOUT THIS RIP CHRIS HENRY!

  • Tracey

I read a story of a guy who threw a remote control at his wife, and she died later on as a result of the throw. He was jailed, but it was pretty obvious he didnt mean to kill her.

The head is a very senstive part of the body, and they guy jumped on the car. She didnt drive the car seeing him dangling off, he jumped on, and she was not even going that fast!

  • Cali

Well I’m sorry, but there are three children here who have already lost their father, I see no point in them losing their mother as well especially since HE decided to not only jump into the back of a moving vehicle, but also to jump out!

  • cw

wow!! you know just by reading some of the comments, i can tell who is actually mature enough to understand this situation and more importantly the law behind it and those who are immature and seem to think this woman was a murderer, or didn’t really care about him, or was only spending his money?? chics, please! she had three children by this man and they were engaged to be married. she was entitled to any amount of paper she wanted or needed for the mere fact that she was raising his children. a GROWN woman understands that providing for your family is more important than being some ride or die chic. that’s immature and simple-minded. now as far as her being charged, for what? there was no crime committed. she didn’t put a gun to his head, make him jump onto a moving vehicle, and ultimately sign his own death certificate due to reacting without thinking. all of his actions were voluntary. all of her actions were voluntary, except the difference between hers and his is she was actually trying to remove herself from the situation. he was trying to make her stay against her choice. in the end, he suffered a fatal consequence from attemtping to control what he has no real control over. her. his death is sad, sad for his family, friends, teammates, and anyone who knew him i’m sure. but she did no crime and thus should not be charged with a crime. it was a tradegy. point blank. move on..

  • KaniGitADolla

    IMmature And SOooo Sad!

They say that the youth is wasted on the young…..

  • Shay

Why does she have to be a b*tch? He shouldn’t have jumped in the back of the truck. She didn’t ask him to get in the truck or set up a situation where he would need to be in the back of it. Please save the legalese for another story.

  • Gimmeabreak 78

    @faundyb

I agree. She isn’t the most sympathetic character in this chain of events, but criminally, she’s done nothing wrong. We can’t lock people up for being unlikable. If Chris Henry’s family tried to go after her in a civil venue, they would have a hard time getting a judgement against her.

  • Nikki_Taylor

Wow!!! I just had a flashback!! My ex-husband did the same thing except I was in the back of the truck trying to beat out the window!!!! Thank my dear Lord that I’m alive today!!!!

Now she has to live with the fact that if she just stopped the truck or walked away….or never even had the fight in the first place…..she’ll be punished everyday for the rest of her life with that memory…..justice can come in many forms!!

  • Exxon

She will reap what she sows if she meant any harm, All I got to say if it was the other way around. Say he was driving a she jumped in the back of the truck, I bet you they would put his black azz in jail

  • http://deleted CriticXtreme

This hoe will say anthing but the truth. She’s to cute to convict. She has a presence about her when you throw in those eyes and fake tears, no cop anywhere on the planet can resist. This poor soul (Chris Henry) died a day later of blunt-force trauma to the head. He was 26. 26 years old! He just started living his life. Again I’ll say it, all she had to do was stop the mutherloven truck!

  • C-Red

But what’s really sad is that she probably is covering the truth which could be that he was threatening to kill or hurt her and she was running away for her dear life. Did you see the tire tracks on the lawn? Everybody, he is a freakin wide reciever, which means he has the best and strongest hand in the NFL so holding on a truck ain’t that hard for him especially if she was going 19-23 miles per hour. Why is there so much hatred for black women from bleck me ad women? You guys laming her are a bunch of morons. Obviously, if she didn’t stop the truck she was scared of him. It’s sad that she is not saying anything to save his name, and sacrificing her reputation for this possible wife beater.

  • Ree

So are we supposed to believe that Chris could read the lips of someone making a phone call behind him, so that he could know they were calling the police AND while standing on the back of a moving truck? Even Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris, McGyver and the A-Team couldn’t pull off that stunt…

  • Ree

People need to stop thinking that the police investigation is gospel. Police are human and make mistakes like everyone else. Sometimes people get away with murder and that’s a FACT.

  • lt

    so sad.

  • Divine

People need to stop attempting to try cases when they know NOTHING about the law or the evidence in the case!

She may be responsible, but they said she isn’t.
    AND THEY HAVE EVIDENCE.
And you have? Speculation. That’s all.

  • Str8 Truth

OMG! I can’t believe someone who wasn’t even there would label another guilty of a crime. If someone jumps off a moving vehicle, regardless of speed, death is always a possibility. Any hit to the head can prove fatal. Look into instances of boxers dying from blows received during a bout, the death of Natasha Richardson, and the death of Dr. Atkins. Atkins merely slipped on ice while walking! I truly doubt he was walking at twenty miles an hour when he received his fatal injury. Richardson fell during a skiing lesson, bumped her head, and seemed completely fine for several hours before becoming ill.

While 25 mph may not seem like much, when momentum is calculated, then used to find the pressure per square inch exerted on the body part at time of impact, what seems “slow” and “minor” may not be.

  • E$

At least she won’t see any insurance money, if it’s ruled a suicide she will get nothing

  • Kierah

This a plain and simple traffic accident. I don’t believe Henry was trying to commit suicide, but he died as a result of his actions. His fiancee was fleeing the scene and he gave chase. How is it her fault that he fell off the back of a moving vehicle?
Hopefully the family will be able to move on from this horrible tragedy.

  • Lady Architect (My Love Is Like Stadium Music)

I don’t understand how people say “I’m gonna wait until the facts come out” then a police report is released and people are still saying “Nobody knows the truth but them”…ok?…so if the police report said the caused the accident then I guess more ppl would have believed it?…This is not far fetched…He jumped in the truck while she was pulling off…If she wasn’t driving that fast what makes ppl think he didn’t try jumping back out?

  • RealTalk2

I’m not surprised at the judgment. It was a freaked accident in the mist of a domestic dispute. She had the right to get in the truck in leave. He had no right to jump in the back of a moving truck with nothing but his shorts on to harass and follow her. Neighbors even heard him saying that he would jump if she left in the truck. With eyewitness, a 911 call from some stranger, I say the verdict was fair. Just keeping it real black people. No need for exaggeration and emotional foolishness.

  • Keep-it-Real

    @LaQuonda Mason

How can you claim to be in her head & know what the woman was thinking? This is simply country gossip with an uneducated assumption. Common sense and the law says anyone has the right to leave a bad situation before it escalates. Come on, banging her or someone for life is foolish, ghetto talk! If that were true, there wouldn’t be this high statistic of black men cheating and leaving their wives, baby mommas, and kids. The woman did the right thing by leaving. He has a history of being violent, irresponsible and reckless. “We are suppose to leave a bad situation to reduce the tension.” It is nonsense to turn around and blame this woman just because he was your neighbor or you knew of him. That’s just your biased emotions talking irresponsibly. You would be thrown off a jury because you can’t focus on facts and separate your emotions. Foolish talk, irrational emotional thoughts is all too common among the poor, uneducated people from the country & hood. Most educated people looked at the facts and already knew what the outcome would be once the investigation was completed. She did not get away with murder. He was his own worse enemy. It is just a sad story all around. I don’t blame Loleini. We can’t twist things in our head and say she knew he would come running after her. That’s bogus. Commonsense tell most people that a man in shorts with no shoes, in extreme cold temps, shouldn’t go running after a moving truck, jumping into the back of it and yelling like a lunatic, beating on the window and threatening to jump is she left for her peace of mind to get away from an intense situation. Thank God for eye-witnesses and 911 calls to clear this woman. Your say is just plain ol’azz-backwards country foolishness to blame the wrong person. I understand your irrational, twisted emotional thinking because I see the same thing when I travel south to visit long lost relatives. It is legendary, predictable behavior among certain groups of black people. You’ll see the truth when take the emotions out of it like the rest of us.

  • Not Loleini’s Fault!

You have ignore country gossip with exaggerations and people on the outside looking in trying to bend their ideas into the truth. Sorry folks but most rational people don’t think foolish or backwards like you. The truth is the truth. I’m with the police report and I don’t know or care about any of these people because I don’t really know them. It’s just a sad case. The man had problems getting his life on track and it took a while for the NFL to mandate counseling and get him help all the way around. His problem just went from one area to another. He finally got his financial & career life in order, but was dysfunctional in his everyday relationship and home life. Furthermore, look at his irresponsible and outrageous behavior surrounding incident. They found a man wearing only his dreadlocks & shorts lying on the side of the road in cold temperatures with people gather around going WTF? How crazy does that look or sound?!! Blaming Loleini for this man problems or inner torment is not the answer. I agree, he was his own worse enemy. Let’s just keep it real. Truth hurts, but it is what it is. Problem solved, investigation completed. This woman, his children need to move on with their lives as best as possible in remembrance of him. She is still young so in 1 or 2 years, I’m sure she will try to move on and regain a sense of normalcy or herself & her children. It doesn’t mean that she didn’t love him. “No one told him jump in the back of a moving truck, to bang on the glass, and scream out in anger and threaten to jump.” He had a history of being reckless & irresponsible so much that the NFL had to let him go for a while until he cleaned up his act. He had issues. He probably thought that he could jump, drop, & roll and be okay. Unfortunately, he lost his footing & his head hit the pavement because he only had one arm to work with. So, Don’t blame Loleini! It was just a sad story waiting to happen. May he rest in peace.
