T-Pain has an upcoming animated cartoon called the “Return of Freaknik” appearing on Adult Swim that airs late at night on the Cartoon Network. Rumors were floating around that Lil Wayne’s voice would be used for the character Jesus Christ. After hearing this, a rep from Adult Swim decided to set the record straight.

If Lil Wayne is playin’ Jesus Christ, Son of God… Then all HELL is about to break loose!!!

A spokesperson for Adult Swim says that the rapper’s character in a one-hour cartoon special with the working title “Return of Freaknik” is not Jesus Christ per se, but just a guy named Jesus.Lil Wayne’s character is still evolving. All we can say is that he is named Jesus and not Jesus Christ.

The cartoon, which is being produced by fellow music maker T-Pain, is about a group of up-and-coming rappers who travel to Atlanta for a battle of the bands contest.

Adult Swim may want to get it together quick because Lil Wayne is schedule to be sentenced on February 9th and that date is right around the corner. Also, check out these pics from Kobe and Lil’ Wayne’s layout in the latest issue of VIBE magazine.

This doesn’t suprise me adult swim has always been pro athiests from the scripting of their shows. Its easy for them to disrespect Christ because they don’t believe in him. Kudos to them I just hope this mockery is worth their souls. The fire will be hot!

I, unlike majority of these people, respect Lil Wayne for his hustle, and how he came up, the man took what he knew and made it work for him, and I cant be mad at that, however, this, I cannot agree with, this is not at all okay.
