In a surprisingly frank interview with Donny Desutsch, set to air Thursday night on CNBC at 10 PM Eastern, former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson talks about why he thinks his career was a waste, the rape charges from his past…and that whole thing about boxing women!

On Boxing- “Actually, I feel that my career was a waste, I never really contributed to life. It didn’t matter so I feel that it was a waste.”

- “I made many mistakes in my life and I’m just constantly working on improving myself as a human being. I’m not breaking my back to impress anybody. It’s all about process, trying to love myself as a human being. I’m ready, I’m going to calm myself without boxing.”

- “It’s just looking at my input in life. I no longer fight. I think retiring from boxing is the best thing I ever did in my life. I’m to extreme, too emotionally extreme.”

On comments that he wanted to fight women on his next world tour
- “I thought it would be funny. I was just… Everyone knows I’m joking. You know, if any woman fighter took me seriously, I would think that she would think it was funny. I hope nobody took offense to it. That was just me being facetious and tripping.”

- “Sometimes I’m a quack you know? I start trouble, I’m a drama king.”

On Fatherhood- “Well, I tell them that Daddy had some bad times, and life goes and you realize that.”

On his biggest regret- “I wish I wasn’t… I wish I didn’t sleep with a lot of women. I wish I wasn’t that promiscuous. I had children with a lot of people I had no business having children with.”

- “I can’t believe I was that person, that’s what’s funny, I just can’t believe I was that person.”

On his rape charges
- “Well I only apologize for anything I did, that’s all I’ll apologize for. If I hit somebody, I’m sorry. If I harmed somebody I’m sorry. What do they think I should to, should I go to a monastery? What else can I do?… But I didn’t do that.”

Well believe it, nigga. You were and maybe still are that person who put yourself in those positions time and time again. It’s sad when the people with the most potential get caught up in the crazy negative rigmarole of the entertainment industry. Oh well, Mike, maybe in your next lifetime you’ll get it together…..
