Grammy-winning pop singer Mariah Carey is trying to block porn star-turned-politician Mary Carey from trademarking her similar-sounding stage name. The star of such films as "Double Air Bags 11" and "Boobsville Sorority Girls" filed the trademark papers earlier this year. In October, a lawyer for Mariah sent Mary's representatives a letter threatening legal action if she did not withdraw the application.
I think Mariah is right, they could mistake the porn star for her, they probably dress alike. "Mary" and "Mariah" sounds pretty distant from each other, Mimi probably should be focusing on not downward spiraling into poor record sales, depression and insanity again.
