Don't feel too bad for Joe Camel, on his track Song Cry, he says:
Used to tell they friends I was ugly and wouldn't touch me
Then I showed up in that dubbed out buggy
And then they got fussy and they don't remember that

Jay-Z has what is called good "self-awareness". But then again, he delusionally called himself "THE BLACK BRAD PITT".
