Jesus Take The Wheel: Witch Doctors Practice Child Sacrifice In Uganda!?!?

Posted on January 7th, 2010 - By Bossip Staff

Categories: Jesus Take The Wheel, News, SMH

As if their “kill the gays” bill wasn’t bad enough, Uganda is now at the center of a BBC investigation into human sacrifice which has uncovered findings that ritual killing of children is much more common in the country than authorities have been willing to admit. Keep reading for the lurid details

One witch-doctor led us to his secret shrine and said he had clients who regularly captured children and brought their blood and body parts to be consumed by spirits.

Meanwhile, a former witch-doctor who now campaigns to end child sacrifice confessed for the first time to having murdered about 70 people, including his own son.

The Ugandan government told us that human sacrifice is on the increase, and according to the head of the country’s Anti-Human Sacrifice Taskforce the crime is directly linked to rising levels of development and prosperity, and an increasing belief that witchcraft can help people get rich quickly.

In the course of our investigation we witnessed the ritual torching of the shrine of a particularly active witch-doctor in northern Uganda by anti-sacrifice campaigners.

The witch-doctor allowed ceremonial items including conch shells and animal skins to be burned in his sacred grove after agreeing to give up sacrifice.

He told us that clients had come to him in search of wealth.

“They capture other people’s children. They bring the heart and the blood directly here to take to the spirits… They bring them in small tins and they place these objects under the tree from which the voices of the spirits are coming,” he said.

Asked how often clients brought blood and body parts, the witch-doctor said they came “on average three times a week – with all that the spirits demand from them.”

The witch-doctor denied any direct involvement in murder or incitement to murder, saying his spirits spoke directly to his clients.

He told us he was paid 500,000 Ugandan shillings (£160 or $260) for a consultation, but that most of that money was handed over to his “boss” in a nationwide network of witch-doctors.

Head of the Anti-Human Sacrifice and Trafficking Task Force, assistant commissioner Moses Binoga of the Ugandan police, said he knew of the boss referred to – involved in one of five or six witch-doctor protection rackets operating in the country.

“The senior ones extort money from lower people because they deal in illegal things,” he told us.

Mr Binoga said police had opened 26 murder cases in 2009, in which the victim appeared to have been ritually sacrificed, compared with just three cases in 2007.

“We also have about 120 children and adults reported missing whose fate we have not traced. We cannot rule out that they may be victims of human sacrifice,” he said.

But child protection campaigners believe the real number is much higher, as some disappearances are not reported to police…

What is in the water in Uganda??? This is just bananas… The fact that they have to have an ANTI HUMAN SACRIFICE TASK FORCE says it all right there.

uganda, darfur and several other places in Africa just need to be wiped off the map period. these people have nothing to offer modern society and can not be rehabilitated. im absolutely disgusted by this.

yeah this is crazy these witch doctors need to be beaten to death with their collection of shrunken heads

  • Gimmeabreak 78

Wow, this is beyond disturbing. Notice how the article said that the witch doctor’s clients capture OTHER PEOPLE’S KIDS. We are literally trying to make ourselves extinct. Sometimes the level of depravity and dysfuntion amongst us dark-skinned people makes me want to cry.

depravity and dysfunction is NOT based off skin tonation alone…

Actually, it has NOTHING to do with the vil that lurks in a person’s heart, get off the “skin color” issue… It has everything to do with how evil someone is, and evil has no skin color…

I do agree that this whole practice is evil and disgusting, those that believe in this practice, should be punished in the same way, that they kill their victims…

Stupid Africans…I thank God that I’m American!

  • Somali Ninga

    @ Haterade
shut the fu©k up!!! It’s only a SMALL amt of people who do stuff like that! You have African Americans to be wiped off the map if they do bad stuff? BULL$HIT!! You’re so ignorant!!

  • Somali Ninga

    @ Cali
Shut the fu©k up!! Aren’t u black? Cuz that’s where your ancestors are from? Americans have rapists and murders yet you call african stupid? you’re the stupid one

@ Cali…… Every country has its demons even America! so i wouldn’t be so proud to say ” Thank God I am American” just thank God it’s not you!!!!

  • christelle

    i mean get* fooled

  • uhh yeah ok

Some places are having a hard time with modernization and changing old thinking. I think AA’s and the African Diaspora are the best bridge for that though. It takes people with the same face and new thinking to show there are other ways..

Education is desperately needed and instead of taking a western view maybe we could help?? Maybe..

  • mzdiva

    get em somali

  • christelle

    @ uhh ok,
Im sorry but I dont feel like modernization is such a great thing especially in America.
Progress might bring you comfort over material things but traditions is the basis of a culture and will define a human being more than an Ipod or a flat TV! African people are getting education too but you cant compete with strong rooted beliefs. I mean isnt the america the most (until not long ago) powerful modernized country in the world but still the most christian country too. So our beliefs have nothing to do with our ability to “develop”. I will not make history classes here but most countries in Africa have been independant for only 50 years. This exaclty the same time black american did get their civil rights? Now how is black america doing today?? Not that great… It takes time to change minds and i hope we will choose our own path of developement and not try to fit in. Because developped countries have lost SO MUCH when it comes to human relationship, its sad…

  • uhh yeah ok

    Christelle..

Honestly we’re the only ones who can help Africa but if we all think like the comments here and go with the brainwashed western image there is no hope. We are leaving out mother land for the jackyls to kill.

How can you guys be so disconnected? You know places that lack Education and litteracy are always going to have healines like this. I mean years back AA’s were still considered savage as well due in most part from with-holding your Education.

DO any of you ever wonder what it would be like to have a land like America, modern, safe, but with your own people? With wealth beyond imagination? It could happen if we would work together..

  • uhh yeah ok

Oh Yes I agree.. I meant that the modernization and traditional beliefs conflict.. So it does take time. I also meant that instead of being shocked the Americans should learn about and exchange ideas..

I mean regardless if we like or not Africa has to move into the world stage but I think that being of both worls I could help protect some and make the transition a little easier..

I’m being very ideal and naive I know. I just love my country and I don’t want it twisted..

  • jamdown

What you people don’t realize is that this is happening right in your own backyard in the states…
These rituals have been going on since the beginning of time.

  • christelle

    @ uhm yeah ok
    But you know what
we have options now! We dont have to work with america or even Europe no more in spite of our controversial relationsip over centuries. Now China is coming to Africa to make business! I think its a great deal. we all know chinese people dont like black people (lol) but they definitely have more to offer than the collapsing american economy and the old conservative EUROPE. Hope our leader would be smarter now though because we still have everything the rest of the world need (OIL, GAS, DIAMOND, GOLD, WOOD, SUN meaning solar energy). African people are everywhere in the world, in America, in Europe, in ASIA, eben in Alaska. they are getting education and at some point, they wil all come back to built the continent. Im on my way back home too! And i swear, we have the most beautiful beaches, forest, montains, fauna, EVERYTHING…

  • christelle

the real benefits of modrnization are :
    - easier access to education and to information, internet etc… (but still people are brainwashed and manipulated to believe certain things, to act a certain way, to eat certain things etc… is that really freedom???

    - easier access to health care (ugh, actually, that was not and is still not the case in America for poor people). In Europe, Health care is far away from what you guys in america. Anybody here can go see a doctor and not pay a DIME!

    - Better comfort, meaning, cars, clothes, heat during winter, clim durin summer…

    - easier access to wealth… well, this is definitely not that easy. Have you ever heard of Bourdon or even Bourdieu, those guys were talking about the reproduction of classes.

  • uhh yeah ok

:) I agree with you 100% Christelle. As soon as I’m done school I’m on my way there too. I don’t even care about the money either I just want all the rapists out and fair chance for their futures.

It’s the most beautiful place on earth, I’m so excited and little scared as well!!

  • http://www.everythingsmelo.com melo

Oh! and it’s ok for lil Afghan and Iraqi children to die at the hands of the US right? Report that fu.ck.ers! FOH!!!

  • uhh yeah ok

We all know what’s up. Get your education learn their systems and take it home. One love Africa!!!

Money is the root of all evil ..
just imagine the bad things we dont know about
the world is full of sick people..

  • christelle

    @ um yeak ok,

where are you from? Are you born in AMERICA?

  • uhh yeah ok

I’m Ethopian. I live in Canada.. Which I love too..

  • uhh yeah ok

    Where are you from?

  • Gimmeabreak 78

    @m

    You’ve misquoted the bible.

The full quote is “THE LOVE of money is the root of all evil”.

Money itself has no inherent moral quality whatsoever, good or bad. After all, money is an inanimate object.

  • James

hey my men Haterade dont be so rude. what they are doing down there in Uganda isnt god but dont be rude 2 all ugandan and there nation by claiming that: uganda, darfur and several other places in Africa just need to be wiped off the map period. these people have nothing to offer modern society and can not be rehabilitated’

what do u have to offer modern society? or should we wip you off tha map cuz you dont have have anything to offer this society and you are ignorant too.

shout out 2 all Ugandan.what happend to your goverment? or are they there just to enjoy tha good life? STAND UP SPEAK UP.

    Thats wat it is.

  • Somali Ninga

I’ve been to Kampala, Uganda, the capital. It’s very civilized and very modern!

  • christelle

    @um yeah
    oh you ethiopian, nice…
im congolese. you speak french? cause i wanted to give you the link of an article where they talk about the new AFRICA-CHINA era! Its interesting because they are saying that China has been eyeing Africa for a while now! Now they are rich and powerful, they talking openly and are actually defying Europe and AMERICA by taking what’s used to be them. But is chinese imperialism better than american imperialism?/I have the feeling that we are replacing a Master by another Master. China is talking about lending almost $10 Billions to african countries and even talking about erasing the debt (i dont know if it means buying the debt though) some countries have!
But like the old chinese saying goes (translation from french) : it does not matter if the cat is black or grey, as long as he can catch mouses!!!! Im sure you understand. I just wish the relationship would go gurther than just lending money. How about assisting us in doing structural changes to improve the transparency of our goverments, building hospitals and universities so we can create our own elite. Im thinking, right now, the best way to boost our developement is to use the workers that would be obviously cheap. But i think the best way is to ensure a steady development is definitely to make sure we have our own elites and of course NATIONAL CHAMPIONS like France has Airbus

  • uhh yeah ok

Oh and christelle I LOVE YOUR MUSIC!!!! girl can you guys dance or what!!! wooo Soukous, zouk.. ?? love it.

  • uhh yeah ok

I think the thing that I repect about the Chinese is they are treating us with a little hummanity and giving us a chance.. They take out but they putting back as well unlike other who only take. Even when they give they have strings attached..

Althou China is said to be behind some of the shizz in Darfur??

  • J

I grew up in America and I love America but damn if I don’t sometimes think that Americans are some of the most stupid and ignorant people on the face of this planet. Some of you just have NO knowledge. I guess because there really is no need to learn about other societies and cultures those that are lazy won’t. As it relates to this story first of all, TRUST, human sacrificing TAKES PLACE IN AMERICA!!! And probably on a larger scale, not percentage wise but based on hard numbers. The difference is Americans love to live in a bubble and act like people are all the same so if you don’t believe in it – it doesn’t exist.

Secondly, this sacrificing BS is based on pagan religion. That’s why it infuriates me to see African Americans who dibble and dabble in old African religions as a way to get back to their ancestry! Most Africans have long left that ish alone. My maternal family is from Nigeria and Paternal family is from Uganda and I don’t know anyone, anyone in my family (or friends of family) who would touch this stuff w/ a ten ft pole. Uganda is a 90% Christian country. Nigeria is mostly Christian and Muslim. This craziness is not the norm (but it does exist), just like every black american is not an ignorant, uneducated, gangbanging baby daddy, or mamma. And just like every white man is not racist. People… stop saying stupid ish. Think before you speak. Even better, read a book or two before you formulate an opinion. It makes the world a better place if everyone took that advice our world would be a much different, better place than it is today so if you don’t take that advice then you’re part of the effing problem!!!!!

    Done.

  • christelle

well, like you said “being connected” is the only way to not get fooled again! Its obvious that china is not philanthropist and definitely not humanist! Most of our countries are debt ridden and for some countries like mine, the debt represent an impressive part the national budget. If our leaders have not our best interest at heart then, we will never see the end of this tunnel!

I admire you for wanting to participate to the building of our lands. But we are not united! We dont speak the same languages, dont have the same cultures or religions! we have different economical systems and definitely not the same money! But as long as we have the same goals, we can build a powerful block and not repeat the same mistakes! At this point, nobody could call us victims because we would be our own executionners.

So how could we get rid of the first influence of Europe and America over us before staring fresh business with china! its going to be a mess and to be honest, i really feel our leaders are not competent. at least in Central Africa.

  • christelle

i was trying to find some ethiopian music but i was distracted by the beauty of the gals! we say ethiopian and senegalese women are the best looking… thats dumb i know but hey, i look senegale so i wont complain lol

Chrisette- Stop standing on your soapbox and telling lies! • Black_Orpheus(the original not the remake)

I don’t know if this is true or not. One thing I DO know, is that Africans (just as Europeans, South and North Americans, and Asians) are NOT above criticism.

Any time some horrible story comes out of sub-Sahara Africa, and black americans make any kind of negative comment about it, we are told to “shut up” by the OPINION POLICE.

The damn truth is, Aficans are NO WORSE than anybody else, and they are also NO BETTER.

Which means their best are magnificent, and their worst are despicable.

Don’t expect an intelligent person to pretend that they are ALL “the best” — they aren’t just like we aren’t.

  • uhh yeah ok

This isn’t about “we” and “you”. Why don’t you people see that it’s all “us”???

So yeah, if we want to clear things up I say all the better because it shows we’re moving in a direction that is good. African Americans you shouldn’t see it as an attack I think we would rather just share and learn from each other. Most of us see your culture on a daily basis but you don’t see much of ours.. So one something like this comes up why not show the other side. You should be doing tha too.

You know if Africa isn’t given her rightful image you will never have a good one as well regardless if you are black-american or african-black or any other black.

We all know it has it bad stuff and I think that’s why most of us are working to better it in some way. Most of us do dream and plan on making it better but it takes time.

  • uhh yeah ok
