Why O Why must they deny? Although Will and Jada’s say their new “academy” isn’t a Scientology institute, it sure does sound like one:
Called the New Village Academy, scheduled to open Sept. 3, the Calabassas, Calif.-based school will offer a curriculum of literacy and math, living skills, Spanish, karate, yoga, robotics, technology, etiquette and art that will be taught using the Scientology teaching method of study technology.
That’s not the only Scientology influence on campus though — many of the school’s teachers belong to the controversial church.
Yeah, that’s some “new” ish alright. Highly suspect indeed.

“We didn’t get the chance to work that much together and yet it took us all of about five minutes to really fall madly in love with each other,” Theron told the Daily Record. “We just hit it off instantly and were always messing around. Will Smith’s school insists it’s not Scientologist
LOS ANGELES — Will Smith ’s soon-to-open private school is not a Scientology facility, as some reports have suggested, the academy’s director said.
Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, have founded the New Village Academy, scheduled to open in September.
The school will use instructional methods developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard called study technology. And a few teachers belong to the church.
But the couple say they are not Scientologists, and the academy’s director insists the facility has no religious affiliation.
“We are a secular school, and just like all nonreligious independent schools, faculty and staff do not promote their own religions at school or p***** on the beliefs of their particular faith to children,” New Village Academy director Jacqueline Olivier told the Los Angeles Times.
Oliver said some of the school’s staffers are Scientologists, Muslim, Christian or Jewish.
In addition to reading and math, the school offers cl*****es on yoga, robotics and etiquette.

Many have speculated that the school Will Smith and her husband, Jada, are opening in LA this September is really a Scientology indoctrination center.
In an LA Times report , the head mistress of Han*****’s school basically says the Scientology school front talk is nonsense.
She says the school’s teachers are of all religions and that one of the teaching methods the school will be employing (’study technology’) is erroneously attributed to Scientology. The school boss says, “People tend to think study technology is a subject, but it is really just the way the subject is taught. They then come to the conclusion that we are teaching Scientology when actually a methodology doesn’t have anything to do with content.”
The paper goes on to point out that critics argue Will’s school is not being honest about its links to Scientology.
David S. Touretzky, a professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University, created a website that dissects study technology and *****erts that in the case of the Smiths’ school, it is Scientology religion disguised as education.
The Prof said many phrases and concepts on the school’s website are specific to Scientology.
For example, the school lists a “Director of Qualifications” and another teacher who is an *****istant in the “Qual” department. The “Qual,” said Touretzky, is where people who have completed a Scientology counseling, or “auditing,” session or a course in the Church of Scientology are tested by a qualifications teacher.
“There is no reputable educator anywhere who endorses [study technology],” said Touretzky, a critic of Scientology. “What happens is that children are inculcated with Scientology jargon and are led to regard L.R. Hubbard as an authority figure. They are laying the groundwork for later bringing people into Scientology.”
Ron Reynolds, executive director of the California *****n. of Private School Organizations, which represents primarily independent religious schools, tells the Times that all schools should strive for transparency.
“I know next to nothing about Scientology, but if you’re using some method or technology closely *****ociated with Scientology and Scientology is characterized as a church or religious body, it raises a question if they proclaim themselves as other than religious,” Reynolds said.
He has not seen the school’s website but went on to say, “I don’t want to insinuate the school is failing to disclose anything. But as a matter of good practice, if a school has an affiliation, it would behoove it to expose it.”

Still not clear if Will and Jada are in fact scientologists, but the organization is definitely using them to advance their agenda. The speculation about the Smiths and their relationship with open scientologists only heightens public awareness. How fortune the organization if they get a free indoctrination school built by the Smiths. Don’t be fooled. Scientology is nothing like going to a Baptist church where you have freedom to choose. This is a real cult focused solely on sustaining itself financially and manipulating its members.

For all those people who say that Jada is not a celebrity etc. you must be very young. Jada has been in a little over 20 movies and numerous sitcom. I’m 22 and some of her best movies for me was The Inkwell, Jason’s Lyrics, Set it off, Tales from the crypt movie, and even madagascar. She was already worth millions before even meeting Will and not to mention she has a succeful band too.
I can care less for the school because it is the parents that are sending their children there. I know I wouldn’t send my child there if I had one, but that’s just me. Scientology is not my belief and I’ve done research to conclude it’s nothing I would go close to.

Sounds like another case of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. They use a teaching model, that in my opions sounds fantastic, so what if it came from scientology, if they have a good teaching model good better than what we have in public schools. You’re on the net so I’m sure you know how to google. I’ll give you a little list of major issues (and why) in Scientology and you can search for the rest look up Operation Clam Bake (I’m not kidding).
L. Ron Hubbards wife infiltrated the IRS with other Scientology members and spied on the financial records. Why? Because they seek out rich celebs who can afford to pay for the expensive cl*****es and their clout will attract people.
Scientology members have died after strange situations after being refused medical treatment while in Scientology’s “care”. Why? Scientology is completely against Psychiatry to the point of comparing them to *****’s. Remember when Tom attacked Brook Shields?
Scientology divides families by telling members to push family members away that criticize the group. Calling them “Suppressive Persons” and banning them from contact. Why? Because cults are about control so why would they let anyone fill your head with common sense?
They blackmail their members who want to leave by using information given during “cl*****es” against them. A lot of people with “issues” drugs, mental, sexual confusion look into Scientology for help. They think it’s confidential like talking to a doctor. Little do they know that if they try to leave they will remind them that they know and will tell.
Unlike most religions information about Scientology is not readily available for free and people who post it are attacked by the group. You’re supposed to pay for cl*****es and some people have paid their lifes savings to the church for these cl*****es. Yea people donate to their Church, Masjid, or Synogog but you don’t have to donate to learn about those religions.

I have a mixed bag of feelings about this-because once upon a time ‘white’ jesus was used as a tool to enslave black people. What I’d hope for is if Will and Jada wanted to have a school, then dissolve any phrasing that has any religious connotations to it, and truly make it a learning center that welcomes all children, and not one that seemingly indoctrinates christianity, islam, judaism, or scientology.
