You’re right, the problem with the black community isn’t liberalism it’s socio-economics and lack of education.

i really feel sorry for you. Why are you blaming liberal democrats for problems in the African-American community? for the last time, if you follow your own logic then jews would be in the same boat as blacks and they are not. therefore, it might behoove you to realize that liberalism has nothing to do with the ills in the black community, but internal failings and cultural issues. i, for one, do believe in self-sufficiency, the power of education and taking responsibility for your personal welfare. GUESS WHAT? I AM NOT A JEW. my mother emigrated from Latin America knowing no english, without a husband or extended family and working menial jobs. she made $12,000 a year. yet my sibling and I graduated with top honors from high school, went to top private universities, studied abroad, own properties, stock, and broke into the upper middle class in ONE generation. so, why didn’t liberalism take a hold of me like you claim it’s taking hold of African-Americans? because liberalism cannot ruin an ethnic group, THERE’S A BIGGER ISSUE at work! i hate it when people think there’s a silver bullet to a problem. it’s way more complex than that and you blaming liberalism shows you tendency to go for the easy answer.

First let me say that I have not yet stooped to attacking you personally. I don’t think I even need to say that I am not an idiot, so I will let that slide. To debate your point, Jews are not affected by Liberalism in the same way as Blacks because they are primary architects of many liberal policies, not the intended “beneficiaries”. They are not, for the most part, coming from the lower socio-economic class that Blacks are. Therefore their iniative has not been dulled, as it has been in the case of blacks who have become dependent on social programs. They typically come from two parent households, which liberalism and the welfare system has discouraged in lower socio-economic communities (read black communities). Jews also tend to emphasize education, especially private education, far more than poor blacks, or other minorities. Jews can afford the education to get better jobs, and they promote social and business networking amongst themselves. For these reasons and many more, Jews are not affected in the same way by Liberalism. Please don’t try to school me about how Liberalism is not destroying blacks, as I grew up in one of the poorest, most gang infested areas in the country, which has been run for over forty years by black liberal Democrats. I am the product of two drug addicted parents, and was a Ward of the State for 18 years. I have dealt with Social Services on every level. I have also worked in Government and can not begin to tell you the waste involved in operating any government program. Strong families are the solution to problems in the black community, not more liberal programs.

EVERY: Ethnic & Racial group in this country has a mentoring system.

They all have people & organizations in place to help them.

The “FAMILY UNITS” you mentioned, ARE a mentoring system.

They also have doctors, lawyers, business ppl, politicians, entertainers, etc., that they rely on to assist them.

EVERYBODY HAS & NEEDS MENTORS!!!

PS: Oh yea, many Black people do have good family units that love & support. I’M IN ONE!

I understood where you were coming from I guess my comment should have been directed more toward TIGER, I didn’t really like his comment about blacks needing mentoring, like is something bad and we’re the only race that has mentors, but that was the point I was trying to make, the family is a mentoring system but not everyone has a strong family unit to lean on that’s why mentoring is important.

Funny…how we can rally around rocks, Alize, & government checks. But can’t agree to disagree.

you are an idiot. did i ever say jews are wealthy because they are liberal. read very slowly. the argument you made is as follow: liberalism is destroying black people. by the same logic: liberalism should also be destroying jews. trust me, sweetheart don’t try to school me on jews. i went to all an all-white natinoally ranked private university on the east coast with plenty of jews and got to see up close their work ethic and cultural unity makes them who they are. your argument about liberalism destroying blacks is bogus. I am an immigrant who is a moderate democrat. i am living the American dream in every possible way and do not believe liberalism is resopnsible for an ethnic group’s progress or lack of progress.
