however in my opinion her statement was of no use or importance, the way i view this isssue and im sure the rest of the public would share this view is that the major problems lie with frankie and neffe and the decisions they decided to make inorder for them to achieve their own measure of fsme.

From her statement she seems sincere and would like to put the past behind her. Hope everthing work out for the better.

I do feel like Elite was the least ghetto-fabulous of the Frankie Neffie and herself. I feel bad for her (and the nephews/nieces) kinda, but in reality, when you have a family like that, you have to put some distance between you to keep your sanity.

Basically, Frankie and Neffie f*cked it up for er’body… just like n*ggas! Ugh!

I don’t think Elite felt guilty by responding, she WAS a part of the TV show and she just wanted to clear the air.

Elite did not appear to be part of the problem, she seemed to me like she was a shoulder for Neffe and, Elite tried to be supportive and give advice to the family around her. However, I don’t know what transpired behind closed doors and once the cameras were not rolling.

Keisha knew what kind of family she had and she introduced the world to her family during her first TV episode when she went to visit her mother in prison. Although it was clear Keisha tried to help them and wanted to bond with them, did she accept the TV offer to improve her record sales (which it didn’t) and to bring more of a spotlight to herself ????

Statics have shown that once a family appears on a reality TV show it usually tears them apart.

When Frankie use to cry because she felt Keisha was choosing her adoptive mother over Frankie (maybe it was a little jealousy), I never liked it when Keisha started yelling in Frankie’s face saying that the other woman raised her. We all knew that but it seemed like Keisha wanted to rub it in from time to time to make Frankie feel bad and to build the adoptive mother up.

It use to seem like Keisha had a level head and was a sound thinker but who knows, maybe the pregnant hormones has affected her or maybe her boyfriend d.i.c.k.i.n.g her down real good has affected her!

When Keyshia Coles show first started she went and got Frankie. She knew what the situation was when the show first started.. Neffe and Frankie being ghetto is what and who she was.. I truly believe in her desperation for a family and child she has people in her ears.. Keeping my distance from my family to protect my child is nonsense, because your a mother first and foremost..You move your family to the A to be together to only move away from them.. First all KC has a whole another family that she was raised in so she does not have to keep up with Frankie and them just like Frankie did not keep up with her over the years… I am not for separating families per say but I do think that life grants people many opportunities to choose the company that you want to keep family or not… I know some real dysfunctional people and families situations by others that I know and some of the stuff that my friends go thro with there families I would not deal with on a some of the time bases and sometimes you do have to cut people off or push them way back like when they never respect your wishes that is drama waiting to happen… I actually come from a very healthy base family who do not obligate me for there own personal gain and I feel so bless and appreciate that… I know that my family loves me unconditionally and that matter a big difference when it comes to making family base decisions… Now let look at Fanny new show and how her family is about to represent themselves all for the love of money and not Fanny…

No one should comment on KC’s decision because we are not privy to what led to that decision. What I can say is even the Lord Jesus though he loves you infinitely, if you don’t act right will continue to love you but cut you loose and let you make your own choices, so mother or not why begrudge Keyshia that option.

Did you see the same show I saw, Keyshia only yelled at Frankie when she acted the fool, case and point when they wanted to have a mother daughter massage day, KC wanted to enjoy it with both of her mothers, truth is truth she has two, one bio the other adoptive, she didn’t chose one over the other she chose both, but because Frankie has the aptitude of a child, she threw a tantrum and caused all that mess to start! Family is a funny thing…..I know some families where the mother and daughter has put each other in jail….One sister has ALWAYS been jealous of the other sister and the jealous sister will bad mouth her sister to the good sister boyfriends and ANYONE ELSE WHO WILL LISTEN.

She has bad mouth her to other family members for years. And the sad part is, when the jealous sister talks about her to other family like older aunts, the aunts love to hear the drama, they never tell the jealous sister what she is doing is wrong. The jealous sister has called her job and tried to get her in trouble.

Then the jealous sister will wait 2 or 3 years and then call her sister and talk to her as if she never did anything or like nothing ever happened…..This has been going on for decades!

I saw that show and that was the ONLY time I felt Frankie was acting selfishly and Keisha was right when she wanted to include both of her mothers for a massage day. However, the way Keisha yelled in Frankie’s face seemed VERY mean-spirited. And, that was not the only time Keisha has done that and in other instances it was not necessary.

Family is family but one with no discipline, structure and development it is a messy family and if you don’t teach your family to be motivated by positive things then they will only navigate to negative things… Keeping your peace, quiet, and joy is really a life skill that not everyone executes/ masters this well… Seeing the bigger pictures and having discernment about things are a gift and I honestly believe that even thou God does want us all to love our neighbor as ourselves and to love him with all of our hearts he also want us to be true to ourselves because people who are true to themselves make happier life decisions…

I dont blame Keisha… It be Family that keeps you down, and can become your worst enemy.. Elite is just like the rest of them every since she was introduced on the Keyshia Cole reality show she’s decided she wants some of the “FAME” for herself and that is her ABSOLUTE right. This is America land of opportunity and that’s “not” exclusive for Keyshia Cole! I regularly post on another website that Elite and Neff. sometimes post(anonymously of course) where they have vented about their sister in a not so flattering way. Now that Keyshia doesn’t want to deal with them for awhile I know Elite is a bit sad and wants to clear the air, but her statement it’s mainly a response to keep her name in the public for her music career that she’s working on. Keyshia’s family have done many things in public and private that she’s disapproving of and they have an embarrassing image over which she can no longer control and now that she can’t control them by paying there way in life everything has gotten out of control. Keyshia’s adoptive mother is the one constant in her life she is still the same person and she plays her position well she’s not out to profit off her daughter’s career and I’m sure that’s all she wanted from her biological mother. Frankie more so than anyone needed to focus on getting clean and staying clean, but instead she started making paid appearances in Keyshia’s name, attending all the Hollywood parties, doing radio, t.v, writing books, dating very young men and remember we are talking about a DRUG ADDICT here. People always say that a person should forgive and move on and it will clear your heart and mind and bring you peace. That sounds good and all but….When a person or people constantly bring you pain time and time again; year after year; decade after decade, after you have tried to forgive them in the past and then they do something else, it may be hard to really forgive.

It’s like an old wound…each and every time the wound starts healing with the scab on it, that person will scratch the scab off and throw salt on the wound…then they’ll want to apply cream on it to help it heal (by making up with you), but months or years later they will repeat the same cycle of scratching the scab off and throwing salt on it again.

And sometimes you may give them more of an opportunity at forgiveness because they are family.

I agree with this and I am thankful I have mastered the art of seeing the bigger picture years ago. Alot of people have not but when I speak to some people that I know have not mastered this art, I always try to help them do so. But it is a LOT OF WORK because some people are narrow minded thinkers and only see life from one selfishly prospective.

When you are pregnant, the last thing you need is a lot of stress in your life. It not only affects you but your your unborn child too. Keyshia may not have cut them off forever, but I’m sure she needs a break for now from all the drama her family brings and she probably wants to make her relationship work and her family problems could definitely affect that too.

Keyshia Cole is trying to be hollywood now, her show was only a success because of Neffie and Frankie. Frankie said it many of times, she has never asked Keyshia for anything and Keyshia said it was true. She is out there hustling trying to make her own ends, keyshia now has new folks in her life so she feels she no longer needs them. She is a b itch and always has been, its cool to have to distance yourself sometimes, but to cut them off like your better than them is foul.

The issue I have with this situation is this. Keyshia already knew that her family was ghetto. It was the crazy personalities of Frankie and Neffe that really drew an audience to the tv show. So if anybody was being used it was them. And it seems like now that the reality show is done with they are all expendible.

First off if you are going to release a statement and you got a D in English composition and writing, have someone else write it for you. We all use our own styles in writing true but if you want someone to take you seriously then write seriously; use appropriate punctuation, leave the Ebonics out, form coherent sentences etc. -SMDH Mess.

As for the statement, there’s really no point in releasing it. Your not famous, so nothing Keyshia says is going to make or break your career. If she’s done dealing, she’s done dealing lets move on. Family is important, but like burito9245 said, distancing yourself from other people’s chaos is a necessity at times. You can only help those who want it and Frankie and Neffe only appeared to take advantage of Keyshia’s popularity. May not have been malicious but their behavior seems so draining and ignorant. Let’s not act like Keyshia didn’t end up in foster care for a reason. She has two families to choose from and she clearly wants to go with the more stable one, at this time in her life. And how long has this chick been pursuing singing and does she even have a real passion for singing or is she taking advantage of her current affiliations i.e. her sister?

Please give the young woman a break. Apparently, there was a reason she needed to clear the air, so let her. If she didn’t say anything, she would have been discussed and asked why she did not have anything to say. From what I recall, Keyshia never did specifically say to whom she was referring as far as her family issues were concerned and Elite probably felt she needed to do damage control or gossip management as I call it.

You people are comical! Since when did not communicating with family mean you disown them? Everyone’s family is different. Some families talk everyday and others talk every so often. Why can’t KC decide not to call them all the time. Especially when we all know that if she is not calling them they are definitely not calling her to see how she is doing. She needs to lower the stress in her life and does not need to be involved with her family’s daily drama. Being family does not mean you have to deal with the everyday drama of another grown a** person’s life. The only reason KC even released a statement is because it bothers HER that she cannot be involved in their daily lives for the health of her baby and tranquility of her relationship. They are only upset that they may look bad from the situation. Which is why everyone feels a need to make public statements about the situation. Showing us why KC felt a need to make her obviously tough decision. She has given an amazing effort to be in their lives and when that stops there is no longer a solid connection between them because no one else will fight for her love as hard as she has fought for theirs. True family would have been understanding and just wished her the best during her demanding time (pregnancy+career+relationship). And released a statement vowing to check in with her occasionally to see how she is doing instead of the “cover their own a**” statements being released. When you create a family you have to shift your priorities a bit. Men do it all the time but when women do it they seem to catch a lot of negativity. Like they are choosing a man over family. She is shifting her time and energy from her family to her NEW FAMILY. It is what they deserve from her. Stopping thinking about the feelings of grown a** people who never seem to care as much about her as she does for them. Start thinking about the life her new family deserves. Get off the back of a woman who has put up with more than what most of you would ever put up with.

Elite is right in making a statement(for those interested in hearing what she has to say).She was on Judge Mathias with Frankie.

However, Keisha brought her family along and excposed them to us. She knew how dysfunctional they were long before we did. Her dropping them like bad habits and writing an open letter to tell us why was tasteless.

First, the only reason Keyshia agreed to be exec producer was she felt that if they were going to do the show anyway, maybe she could control what was portrayed. But in retrospect you can’t stop a grown woman from acting a fool. 2nd forgiveness is bred in the heart. If for instance someone in your past tried to kill you you can always forgive. But that doesn’t mean you have to let them be a part of your life. We don’t know what is in Keyshia’s heart. I’m sure she loves and has forgiven her family, but she doesn’t have to deal with them on a daily basis. It’s her life!

I’m so sick of “blood is thicker thank water.” I know of a woman in her 70s whose two daughters and grandaughter constantly steal from her. They don’t work and smoke weed everyday. Mind you they are in their 50s. They have no reason to steal from her, yet they do. One of them made a copy of her house key when using her car. She goes in the house and looks for cash. They have obtained her account numbers and have taken money from her account while she was in the hospital. It’s jus sickening. So in some cases family will screw you over more than anybody. (not always of course)

I say go on with you lives and love each other from a distance. Not being up in ones face everyday does not mean you don’t love them. It just means you have your life and they have their life.

It is of no use to make a point to say what you have achieved or what someone has helped you achieve unless you believe that someon thinks you were a user.

If that is the case which most likely is the case when it comes to family of keisha coles than you cannot change how she may feel about you all’s ungrateful habits.

Keisha appears to be a good hearted person but must realize in some form she created the monster that fed off of her. She should not have exploited her family at some point it was gonna backfire. Especially when you dealing with ignorant people you really never knew. Those people were strangers to Keisha.
