Superstar Alicia Keys is reportedly considering an early retirement from the entertainment business. The multi Grammy-winner has hinted at calling it quits by the age of 30, so she can spend time traveling the world, according to reports.
The 27-year-old singer/songwriter often finds herself exasperated by the pressures of fame and in 2006 she took a break from music and traveled to Egypt to recuperate. The “No One” hitmaker insists that her hectic schedule is setting the stage for her to enjoy life in the nearby years.
She says, “I am working hard now so I have the choice to retire when I want. I would like to travel the world and stay in places instead of having to move on like I do now. I want to experience difference cultures.”
This is more than likely some publicity bullshyte. As if this little diva could go without all that attention. Please.

Bossip, stop the hate. If given the choice, who would really want to work until they were 50-60 years old? It’s one thing to HAVE TO work, but when you make your money while your young you have the opportunity to truly live and see the world. I can’t be mad at that.
As entertainers they have the luxury of coming out of retirement to do that ‘last’ show. Look at Cher and Barbara Streisand. These women have retired and come back about 30 times now and they still sell out shows.
Isn’t Alicia already 30. Oh yeah, her Hollywood age is 27

ummm..HATER? she went on for a year without the fame,glitz, and glamour I’m sure she can probably do without it . She has enough money retire why not retire in your prime? She is an extremely intelligent young lady who always carries herself as a lady. I don’t know her but I am totally proud of this young lady. She recieved fame in a day and age when they want to make all young women particularly black and brown women look like street walkers.

LB is a A Keys STAN … she commented after every 3 posts … DAMN people are entitled to their opinion and people dont have to buy a cd to hear an artist now days HELLO! there is a thing called the radio. no matter how mediocore or plain terrible a popular artists latest release is, it will still garner tons of air time. i heard the first single from her album on the radio and knew her vocals she have gotten WAY better for as long as her hiatus was, and if anything they seemed worse to me. I will admit her talent as a pianist but it ends there. Her screaming, raspy ragged vocals annoy the hell outta me. My ipod is full of Sade, Alejandro Fernandez, Temptations, Vivaldi and other cl*****ical composers so PLEASE do not imply that because people dont like Alicia Keys that they dont know what real music is. The same people quoting how many albums she moved as a reference for how great she is will say the exact opposite if people tried to use that same reference to claim Lil Wayne is the best rapper out there.
