I’m not sure why they’re trying to create an alternative past for Obama when he’s clearly not of that mindset (which is a very good thing). I think the positivity he emanates is one of his best qualities. Bashing women is not in his repertoire.

Here are some more recent words from Barack about his wife in a cover story in US Weekly — he gushed about Michelle in the article (he has also referred to Michelle as his “rock”):

I watched a biography thing on Will Smith and in light of what P.Diddy said (or whatever he calls himself) I was wondering why Will wasn’t considered. You know it has been expressed that finally blacks have a superhero (Hancock), and if you consider the roles Smith has played with most success (action films) he’s got that clown-to-action-hero cool. He’s definitely representing for the black cool. (Besides, Obama has expressed that if anyone should play him in a movie it would be Smith.) I’m only saying because I was just impressed by the Smith biography. According to wikipedia Smith is considered part of a small group of people who were able to enjoy success in three major entertainment media outlets in the US.

Barack has the same experiences of cabs passing by him while living in NYC and attending Columbia, just like every other black man in America. He also had white classmates at Harvard Law tell him he was simply some affirmative action recipient. Maybe that kind of crap motivated him to become the first black president of the Harvard Law Review…
