Riri put on her stoic face to join relief efforts for Haiti by covering Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song,” live on The Oprah Winfrey Show today. Wyclef was also there to talk to Oprah about his experiences on the earthquake-shattered island. Look under the hood for her performance video and more details

We know some of y’all go “Hard” for Rihanna but let’s keep it real — she hit some bad notes. Bless her heart for trying to help though. Proceeds from the sale of this song on iTunes will go to “Hope for Haiti Now” earthquake relief. Maxwell’s single “Fistful of Tears” is also available for charitable purchase through iTunes, with proceeds going to “Hope for Haiti Now.” Both downloads are available for a limited time — with donations going directly to Haiti for the next 48 hours.

Wyclef got heated discussing how the food and relief is being thrown down from helicopters saying, “My people are not animals.”

The “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon will air on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday, January 22 at 8/7c commercial free. George Clooney will host live from Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean will host from New York, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper will broadcast from Haiti.
