Bossip had the pleasure of chatting with the beautiful and talented actress recently. We asked Sanaa about all those gay rumors. In her words:
I’m not gay (laughs). I have nothing against the gay lifestyle at all. I have a lot of great girlfriends. I would call myself a girl’s girl meaning I really have great friends, I’m not one of those women who doesn’t like to be around other beautiful women, because some women are threatened by that. Regina Hall is a great friend of mine; Gabrielle Union is a great friend of mine. I have good girlfriends; they’re like my sisters.

Speaking of awkward…Reminds me of when I started out in PR and went to an awards luncheon with the president of the firm where I worked. Why was the MC drunk, slurring his words and messing up, it was embarr*****ing. Anyway, after the event was over, we jump in a cab (sitting in the back seat) and I’m aware that the cab stops to pick up another fare who sits in the front.
Okay, when the president asks me what I thought of the luncheon, why did I talk about how terrible the MC was, how drunk he was, blah, blah, blah, when I noticed that the president had gotten really quiet. Well, when the cab stops to drop off the fare at the Washington Post, who do you think it was…none other than the MC. At that point, I was beyond mortified, because he undoubtedly heard everything that I said.
Needless to say, it was an embarr*****ing afternoon back at the office because in no time, everybody heard about how badly I put my foot in my mouth.
She’s a beautiful woman and a great actress. I’m sure she just hangs out with her girlfriends and there is nothing more to it.
