Jesus Take the Wheel: 14-Year-Old Charged as an Adult for First-Degree Murder of Parents

This is just crazy:

Chores are never a teenager’s favorite way to spend a fall afternoon, but for 14-year-old John Caudle chores were the motive for murder, Colorado police say. In an arrest affidavit, Caudle told investigators that on Oct. 26, 2009 he argued with his mother because he didn’t want to do household chores like taking out the trash or cleaning his room. Then he said he went to a gun safe, removed two .22 caliber pistols and shot his mother dead.

Caudle said he then hid in a laundry room and shot his stepfather when he walked past a short time later. Family members found the bodies. After allegedly killing his parents, he spent the evening watching movies and playing on a computer. The next morning, Caudle even drove his stepfather’s truck to school, according to KUSA-TV. His friends and teachers said that Caudle seemed “happy” the day after the murder, investigators said.

Authorities have charged Caudle as an adult in the slayings. He faces two counts of first-degree murder.

SMH. WTF??? These crazy kids from Colorado need more good-old fashioned a*s-whooping in their lives…

I thinks it’s a pattern that parents are doing these days. Giving their children too much and not have them earn anything. I understand the fact that once you are a parent, you would want to give your child everything that you weren’t provided. But, I think it spoils them to getting what they want and feeling that nothing needs to be done to earn it. Then all of sudden it hits you, I need to show them that they need to learn to appreciate what is given by earning. People rebel once they are given everything and it stops. Start rasing children in the mind of earning what they get. I was raised that my parents provided shelter, clothes, and food. Anything beyond that was wants. If you want something you’d have to earn it. The answer is better parenting.
