More stars are coming forward to do their part and raise money and awareness for the people in Haiti who suffered from the tragic earthquake.  This time around Diddy and Queen Latifah will be hosting a telethon in conjunction with BET.  More details under the hood.

“SOS Saving Ourselves — Help For Haiti” will air from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. that day on BET, Centric, MTV and VH1. Queen Latifah, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Pharrell Williams will host the telethon, which takes place at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, and Wyclef Jean, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Justin Bieber and Robin Thicke will be among the performers. (Many more artists will be added later.)

“In addition to musical performances, the fundraising event will feature some of the biggest names in music and entertainment to answer the phones during the telethon.” Proceeds will go to Jean’s Yele organization, CARE, MediShare and Proctor and Gamble’s Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program.

The telethon will air February 5th and hopefully will raise close to or more than the $60 million that was raised with the “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon, which ran on many major networks worldwide.
