Mary J Blige graces the cover of Vegas magazine. Here’s a taste of the interview:
Mary J. Blige has a certain distaste for this country’s favorite pastime, American Idol. But she won’t admit it outright. “I haven’t really watched it since Ruben [Studdard] won,” the singer [says] But whether she likes it or not, she does think the juggernaut show does the contestants a huge disservice. “Honestly, it’s not giving most of them a real chance to become an artist for the rest of their lives,” she explains. “They are on national TV every night. They have automatic fame. All of the greatest artists had to struggle for their success.”
Mary knows all about getting her hustle on. She’s been holding it down consistently since she first entered the game. No doubt Ms. Blige’s got that diva-tude on lock.

Mary looks beautiful. I understand the point that she was trying to make but, if a person has a chance to get fame this way, than do what you have to do. I don’t hate anyone for how they get their fame. Some people are in the right place at the right time when they were discovered and some people had to work very hard. That’s just the way things work.
i like the wig/weave color on her, i love mary for what she was and what she is now. the hell she went through is what makes her music so good. if she hadn’t had those struggles i doubt she would be as succesful…go ‘head Mary!!
