I was blown away when Jennifer Hudson sang the HELL out of that song.

Even Whitney herself said “SANG” girl.

    Jennifer’s voice is ABSOLUTELY flawless.

She is a TRUE talent and she is the voice of our generation. NO one else comes close.

BIG UP to Jennifer Hudson !!!!

    Jennifer is simply amazing.

  • Yes

Jennifer did a good job but it just made me realize how much powerful Whitney Houstons voice is and the smoothness of it unmistakeable…

That’s the sign of a great singer if you can wow the artist that sang the song with your version of it. Jennifer did the d-a-m-n thing and Whitney gave her her props for it. And she didn’t have to resort to theatrics she just sang the d-a-m-n thing and brought the entire theatre to it’s feet. I will have to say that the audience was thoroughly entertained by that performance without all that extra stuff.

    Love her!

Jennifer Hudson’s voice annoys the hell out of me. She over sings everything to where it just doesn’t sound natural. Say what you want about Whitney’s downfall, but when she was at her prime, NO ONE could touch her vocally, and we still have yet to hear from anyone who can hold a candle to her.

People that recognize real talent recognize each other. Gimmicks are there to make up for a lack of talent in other areas. If you truly have what it takes, you don’t need gimmicks. Your talent will speak for itself.

I really enjoyed Jennifer Hudson’s and Kim Burrell’s performances. Those two ladies make good singing seem effortless. I especially enjoyed how both of the ladies changed the songs to have slightly different meanings than what was originally intended. Their renditions reflected sisterhood and friendship. That was wonderful for Whitney.

Kim burrell and Whitney had me screaming and shouting and talking to the tv. They both had me caught up with the spirit! Look at what God can do.

I was moved to tears. Kim’s voice is not pristine but the connection and love and annointing in that performance as she was ministering to Whit had me. My favorite part was when Whitney got caught up and shouted, ohhh, you better sang that song. I’m so proud of her journey and listening to her so humle and grateful made me glad that I stuck with her through her tribulatins.

Icon, ledgend, diva- never duplicated and no one has yet to sing IWALY as good or better than Whitney and that says alot about her talent!

  • FacedOn

    Jennifer can sang. True talent.
