Honestly, I’ve been around Destiny’s Child, mostly when I was in high school (and when they were starting to get popular). The only person the Knowles and their support staff really paid attention to was Beyonce. All of the other girls could sing, but B’s parents had the biggest stake in all of that, so of course they pushed for her to be up front and center. Hence, the blonde (and blonder) hair, and they always put her in the brightest outfit. It looked like she and Kelly had a great relationship, they were always together and really having fun (making faces at Matthew). She could have been just as big a star as Beyonce, but she was more willing to stand up for herself and say “no” to a lot of his demands, as were the other girls. It’s like Beyonce would feel left out, and Kelly was the peacemaker. Now it’s her time to shine, and I’m not mad at her.
And I do like her outfit, but don’t like the shoes.

It doesn’t matter how hard she tries Matthew will always keep her in the background. Her core fans would blog her begging for her to release videos for certain songs and they(matthew and the record company) would veto everthing her fans would ask for. It is partially her fault for not sticking up for herself, but Matthew also knows that if he promotes Kelly correctly she would have more success with the mature audiences. She songwriting skills are great. I can see how DC had those great songs. She may not have gotten writing credit for those songs, but you can hear it for yourself in her in her music.
I guess she can act like a diva wannabe over there, because in the U.S., she knows damn well she can’t get away with it. *****ODY over here would buy that *****.
