Wasn’t trying to “blame” gays per se for AIDS being spread in the black communities. I do realize my statement could be misconstrued that way. The intent was for people NOT TO *****UME WHAT A GAY PERSON LOOKS LIKE, I think we both agree on that.
Your statement about blacks and gays is very true. The perfect storm was the “alleged down-low” epidemic. This served as a “divide and conquer” tactic.
Does it happen? Yes.
Does it happen often? No.
The problem is that “Down Low” is specifically a description of black males. The term itself belies something sneaky and underhanded. Under the same cir*****stances a white male would be described as “experimenting” or “struggling with his sexuallity.”
The Govenor of New Jersey was never described as living a “Down Low” lifestyle, I wonder why that is?
