I HAVE TO GIVE PROPS TO DIDDY, QUEEN LATIFAH AND BET FOR KEEPING IT REAL AND BEING BLACK ENOUGH AND NOT LET THE WHITE MEDIA PREDICT THE OUT COME OF OUR YOUNG BLACK ENTERTAINERS NO MATTER WHAT THEIRS FAULTS ARE ( CAUSE THERE ARE PLENTY SICK WHITIES IN THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD MAKING MUCH WORSE CRIMES THAT CHRIS BROWN AND THEIR CAREERS OR STILL HOLDING UP) SO SHOUT OUT TO BET FOR BRINGING CHRIS BROWN ON YOUR SHOW. I MISSED HIM SO MUCH. AND I WILL BE DONATING SO S O S. BECAUSE THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. SO TO OUR BLACK PEOPLE PLEASE STAND UP AND GIVE TO THIS CAUSE. EVEN IF EACH ONE OF US ONLY GAVE ONE DOLLAR THAT WOULD HELP TREMENDIOUSLY. SO YOU DONT HAVE TO BE RICH TO GIVE. AND YOU DONT HAVE TO BE A GROWNUP TO GIVE.KIDS IF YOU JUST SACRAFICE NOT BUYING THAT ONE CANDY BAR OR SLUSHING AND GIVE THAT MONEY TO SOS YOUR HEARTS WILL REMEMBER THAT FOREVER. PROUD OF YOU BET FOR GIVING A BROTHER ANOTHER CHANCE. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES AND SHOULD BE FORGIVEN AT LEAST ONCE. TO CHRIS BROWN I LOVE YOU. IM A 56 YR OLD WOMEN ( NOT A COUGAR) BUT I LOVE THIS YOUNG MAN AND MY HEART HAS BEEN BROKEN BE CAUSE OF THE BAD TREATMENT HE HAS BEEN RECEIVING. SO CHRIS STAY STRONG AND STAY OUT OF TROUBLE. I TRULY BELEIVE THAT YOU ARE A DECENT YOUNG MAN. TAKE YOUR TIME GROWING UP, HOPEFULLY YOURE HAVE A LOT OF YEARS AHEAD OF YOU FOR SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS, JUST ENJOY YOURSELF NOW AND BE THE KID YOU SHOULD BE AT THIS AGE. THANKS AGAIN BET FOR STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE. AND THINKS AGAIN TO DIDDY FOR HELPING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR C B

    totally agree withcha!

and am I the only one disturbed by this facetious event!

It seems like the G Clooney event should have been enough and this one looks like an attempt to colorize and lay claim to a portion of the support going to Haiti.

  • Meee

kalifa.williams@yahoo.co.uk , Remind u this world has gone through MAJOR changes since new orleans happened. Bush was an IDIOT and didnt push for help in New orleans the way he should have. Mind u A LOT of celbrities helped wiith New Orleans. instead of hating, stop and think about the difference between the two unfortunate events. Not even people standing on top of buildings cou7ld avoid this one. No warnings no nothing. Ignorance will get you no where.

  • Jazz

Chris did great. He always owns the stage! I liked Mary as well.

All of them did great and I’m so happy to see all the love and support people are giving the people of haiti.

  • ladypoob

I think this was awsome! go chris brezzy!…oh yea, you other artist did great too and I also agree about the katrina thing im from New Orleans born and raised they could did much better than what they did so sad, but good for haiti they need help too.

  • CaribbeanGirlForBreezy

Very nice. That was probably CB’s first televised performance since “we know what” and he did just as well as we all expected. If I’m not mistaken, his voice has grown as well. God bless his little heart.

  • Stacey Dee

I wonder how much money it raised. considering it’s BET probably 4 dollars

  • Just My Two Cents!

I have to commend BET for putting together a really good event to benefit Haiti. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Monica did the damn thing! I forgot how well she could sing

C.Breezy was the amazing! I was so proud of him! I was cheesing like a proud parent! I was a lil nervous for him at first, I was scared about how he would be percieved! The crowd went crazy as soon as the music for “Crawl” started to olay! People really missed him! That boy is a true talent and he showed that last night! Hopefully there will be nothing more but good things to come his way in 2010.

    Waiting for that mixtape Breezy!

  • yesssir

WHAT IS UP WITH CHRIS STRANGLE A GIRL BROWN’S SHIRT?

  • B3 Fearless

Chris’s performance was good. I would expect nothing less and I’m checkin for his mixtape when it comes out too!

Monica sang & looked beautiful but I’m not feeling the song. I stopped her clip after a minute.

I thought Jasmine Sullivan did great with Mary J. Blige but I didn’t like the rest of MJB’s performance.

  • http://unknowntheartist.wordpress.com unknowntheartist

LOL at Chris Brown and Justine Bieber sharing wardrobe…

  • ocapkid1

  • Vickie

    @Linda armour,

Thanks I agree with you 100%!!!

  • dini

WoW Americans are the most selfish people I have ever met..”All of this was not done for Katrina” A disaster is a Disaster. America is a country where there is a stable GOVERNMENT that should have been there for you @s$. Haiti is a 3rd world country that needed help from before this tragedy happened. How many of you have ever been to a caribbean country and see how people really live. Haiti did not have the same lives that we in North America. To the person that said one telethon was enough. HOW DARE YOU? Why dont u go to the government and tell them isnt the tax you pay in American enough and to stop taking taxes. The taxes you paid should have been enough for George Bush to help New Orleans. Haiti is a different way of life and unless you have been there or somewhere like there. SHUT THE F UP

  • dini

OH YEAH BREEZY KILLED IT..very happy for u

  • chaka1

He’s going to regret those stupid tatts by the time he’s 40…

  • MARCUS

ACTUALLY THEY DID DO THIS SAME TELETHON WITH THE SAME NAME FOR KATRINA……NO IT WASNT AS POPULAR….

  • TJ

    Monica Killed it… WOW…
Her Album comes out March 23rd… I’ll be getting it for sure!!

  • Ms D

    Well said Linda!

  • thesaneone

I cant believe people are saying “we didnt do this for New Orleans” you know what, you’re right. 2000 people died from Hurricane Katrina. over 200,000 people have died from the earthquake in Haiti. stop complaining and be thankful you dont live there and have absolutely nothing! for most people in new orleans, they are able to get back on track…it was very very tragic but please stop comparing the 2 before i keep having to go off!!!!! just ridiculous…

  • young “n” n

    WHERE IS KANYE?

  • Danielle

I think it was a good show and I was very happy to see Chris Brown perform after what happened. God bless everyone in Haiti.

  • ~~~WHATaTaTaTa~~~

I thought that Diddy and Queen were great.I love Queen…she has soo many different vibes. She OWNS them all…

I’m still moved by Diddy’s acceptance speech at the BET Honors. I find his presence “less annoying” since that night. He’s got a long way to go before he’ll be out of that “driven energy.”

Chris Brown’s performance was BOSS. I too am glad to see that BET hosted the event that made an invitation to him to perform. His voice is filling out and he’s beginning to sound a little more “robust”…Good Job

I know this event will benefit Haiti and hope to see a follow-up in the coming years.

  • Bacqui

There is no other young male performer out there, quite does it like Chris on stage,, Thanx to BET for allowing Breezy to help Haiti! U’r da best Mr Brown,, :) :) :)

Chris Brown tatts are removable, they are all in the right places if he wish to do so, I never heard of a older man regretting his tatts, most old men show them off has a reminder of years passed.

no matter how much AID america gives to black countries, they will still be standing asking for more. the leaders hoard the money and live like kings while the masses starve. most of them will always be in poverty because they don’t have sense enough to use birth control.

black tax payers money should be given to our own american black suffering.

  • enlight

obviously some folk are suffering from selective memory….yes the hell we did do this for the Katrina victims…dont you recall “george bush doesnt care about black people!”…yeezy said that during the telethon! and i’m pretty sure i recall seing a telethon or concert on their behalf as well. you can damn near bet that any time there is a natural disaster in this country, we’re telethoning…we did it for 9/11 in case anyone forgot about that one too.

  • enlight

“and i’m pretty sure i recall seing a BET telethon or concert on their behalf as well.”

  • Andre

There were telethons and fundraisers for the Katrina victoms and it wasn’t enough but many did try to help. What happened in Haiti is, however, a far more deadly tragedy. There are about 2500 dead and missing victoms of Katrina and about 200,000 people dead from this disaster. They were also far worse off as a country than we were before this tragedy and it is a shame that some of you *****holes are sitting at you computer writing this bs while someone in Haiti is longing for a clean sip of water.

  • Life Experience

I think they do things like this event for places like Haiti but not our own country because they feel our government has the resources to fix the problem. Poor countries have poor governments that have next to NO money. They did do some events for Katrina and have programs out there feeding children and helping the homeless get a roof over their haeds. Unfortunately those events will never be as big because our country is always seen as having money. Even with our deficit we only need to control spending and balance the books for a few years and we will be good. Our government collects over ten trillion dollars in tax money every year.

  • Michele

What about helping our own damn country… or places that don’t practice witchcraft… all of a sudden we’re NOT IN DEBT? And I would never give money to anyone who used Chris Brown – don’t hate on Haiti? I didn’t… God did… because they’re into devil worshiping and voodoo…

  • Leelee

TO Michele and other the others…..

So….”God hated on Haiti”???? Really….then how do you explain all the other natural disasters that happened in all the other countires???? Take care of our own country first???? Large amount of the worlds wealth belongs to the US…..actually really China… and if China decided not to loan aa large amount of money to the US and “take care of their own country”…where would the united states be???

  • TheRealdiamondz,NC

Please don’t bad mouth Chris Brown. He is a very good person despite his actions. He is not a devil worshipper, his ex-girlfriend was.I’m not ”hatin” on Rihanna at all.I don’t hate anyone.Except the devil but that’s another story. Now what you said about New Orleans it is true America didn’t help new Orleans like they are Hati, but Hati is the poorest country in the western Hemisphere. They should have helped N.O. like Hati but you can’t control everyone.I am trully 13 years-old and I want to give you words of wisdom.

1.Don’t hate people.(Because if you don’t hate people you can get into heaven)

2.If the New World Order happens don’t give in to the N.W.O.

    God is love.Peace is happiness.
