She id a song with an African artist and it was a MAJOR hit. If you PEOPLE knew how much money people in other countries spent buying music by american artists, I think you’d think twice about the ignorant comments. She’s basically saying she didn’t have to put out an album and she still made money.

Slide, I can tell that half of these people have only been to the local mall in their neighborhood, that is if they have one. What’s shameful is that people are talking out their a/s/s about the music business because they don’t know how things work for artists who write, produce, perform. An artist makes money so many different ways depending on the type of contract they have, now there is a new contract out called the 360 contract, it’s HORRIBLE, the record company basically owns you, and they want a percentage of everything you do, basically because *****ody is buying cds. So when I hear people talking about this woman who has done nothing but try and be successful, and how she’s not going to sell in America, I have to laugh because there’s Asia, South America, Africa, and Europe, & we won;t even talk about how the BILLIONAIRES in the Middle East pay artists a MINIMUM of $1 million to come and perform. These *****S are so STUPID that I think I’m going to have to back away from this board, but STUPID & HATEFUL is a VERY SAD combination. I have my dough Sweetie, and as previously STATED, I never had to deal with the crabs because I never lived in a black neighborhood.

It takes a while to get used to some of the comments that are made on here… It took me about 8 months… Once you approach Bossip in a certain way you won’t be bothered by the comments as much:

- don’t take Bossip seriously = how can you take a website seriously when they will show somebody’s feet and ask you whose feet are these, LOL and other other ridiculous things they post

- SOME of the people have deep seeded issues that need to be addressed = SERIOUSLY!!!

- I believe that some of the people who say stuff ONLY do so to rile people up for whatever reason AND/OR are Bossip Employees *shrugs shoulders* I don’t know but trust me just sit back and watch how some people move and or the screenames that you’ve NEVER seen before say some off the wall stuff to start sh…

- SOME of the commenters are actually teenagers or young minded, i.e., read a Beyonce or Rihanna post and see how these people will argue for HOURS about either one of them = which one is better, etc.. they’re the funniest posts if you ask me…

- SOME people don’t speak on facts to back up their statement and/or have VERY weak evidence to support their claims…

- In an attempt to be funny SOME people say mean things (*me included)…

And lastly, I usually avoid SERIOUS topics and read them after work because somebody might pi$$ me off by their comment and will have me arguing all day and I’ll not get any work done…

I will say this, I think her snotty attitude is why folks are coming at her the way they are. In a recession where folks can barely pay their rent (and don’t kid yourself, it is still real out here) no one cares that your bag cost x amount of dollars. That cat Ne-Yo was in an interview and was talking about how he CO-WROTE a song for Mario and made $2 or $3 million off of it… SMMFH I mean, I knew they made money writing songs but I didn’t know that they could make that much and you know how many songs that Ne-Yo writes??? I can’t even begin to imagine how much he made off of Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” (“to the left, to the left” = Damn Radio Programming, LOL)

But back to something you were talking about earlier… Did you know that at one time last year Kelly Rowland had the #1 Song in the World MINUS the U.S. (*I forgot the name of the song)… That’s probably why she bought that house over there in London, she’s really popular via Destiny’s Child and they respect her talent over there and so I don’t blame her = go where you’re loved and oh yeah, where you can make money too & improve your situation…

Some people don’t realize how big & popular SOME U.S artists are overseas… Shoot, a lot of Old School Rap Acts make a living via touring overseas & abroad because they can make soo much more money Internationally as opposed to in the U.S… If Olivia can with her 2 songs & talent can make enough money to get bags that are more than people’s rent, just imagine how other acts are doing, LOL…

I never experienced such crab in the barrel-ish type behavior until I started dealing with certain individuals from “certain neighborhoods” not all black people act the same, but there is a certain element that I can’t deal with, I’ve been all over the world, and trust me the black race is it’s own enemy. As I stated, Mexicans help each other, Chinese people help each other, but many black people do nothing except tear each other down. I wish I could say I hadn’t seen it over and over again, but unfortunately, other races think it’s funny, but it’s embarr*****ing. I grew up in Maine and then moved abroad for awhile, that’s why I’m laughing at people who don’t know about artists making tons of money overseas.
I really should’ve used another statement because now that I’m reading this, it really sounds bad, but I was mad because black people can be so hateful towards each other and it’s unnecessary. Why not uplift each other?
