SMH: Oklahoma Basketball Players Cited For Boosting

Will they ever learn?

Two Oklahoma basketball players have been cited for allegedly shoplifting at a Sooner Mall department store in Norman.Police spokeswoman Jennifer Newell says Andrew Fitzgerald and Steven Pledger were ticketed for petty larceny Saturday night and released.

Newell said Monday the citation was written by a security officer in Dillard’s. She says according to the ticket, the security officer reported seeing Fitzgerald and Pledger about 8:50 p.m. concealing shirts inside a blue, plastic bag.

Pledger, a 6-4 freshman guard, played 24 minutes and scored nine points in Oklahoma’s 80-71 upset victory over No. 9 Texas on Saturday. Fitzgerald started the game, played 19 minutes and scored three points.

Damn. How in the world did these big a*s 6′ 4″ cats think no one would see them shoving 3XL shirts into a plastic bag…a blue one at that?? They’re young, so hopefully they’ll learn from this.

The white people that I met out there were nice & decent folks but when we were walking around the way they were staring = breaking their necks and looking at us like we had 3 heads made me feel really uncomfortable…

I don’t know how y’all do it out there, too much for a city boy like me who’s used to diversity…

Well white people stare at blacks EVERYWHERE you go, so we can’t say that its just a OKLAHOMA thing. I’m pretty sure you’ve been stared at in your city, but you just didn’t realize it b/c you were in YOUR enviroment. You weren’t in your environment out here, so I’m pretty sure you were uncomfortable. Sorry the white folks in oklahoma made you uncomfortable lol.

theres not any more whites staring at blacks than vice versa in oklahoma, there are more black people here than white. just because someone glances at you and theyre white doesnt mean theyre staring at you.
