z-ro is the best rapper but his stuff is to real to be put out there but see him and trae and charlie boy they are underground peaple so u got to buy ther mixtapes and stuff if you want to hear them but wat is wrong wit yall get real didnt nobodi say he was the best rapper because all of those labels that he sold it dnt matter if lil-wayne sold one cd in two weeks he is still da best i mean come on now lets get real wayne raps about life and dat real stuff of course every now and then he throws a line about girls clothes money and cars i mean wat rapper dnt but im tired of hearing the same thing over and over again we need sumthing new to the table and that is wat lil-wayne is bringing yall juz need to give him a chance a lot of peaple say that he dnt b makin sense yes he do he really sayin wat erbodi else is sayin a little bit but not really because these other rappers say da same thing so they mind as well be in one big group but lil-wayne is different and he has his own way of sayin things and if u aint real enough then you wouldnt understand because he is real and duh he aint like erbody else he tells us all the time in his songs we are not the same i mean havent u heard phone home off the carter 3 but im juz tired of peaple talkin dwn on wayne like it b gettin to da point where i b about to fight because peaple always hatin on him juz sit back shut up and let him do his thang keep yo mouth close like he said and let yo eyes listen and im listening wit my eyes and it looks like to me he is the best when he first go in the game he wasnt sellin dat many cds and he still was known as the best i goota lot more i wanna say but i aint got time duces

Sell drug to school kids or anyone else for that matter

Rob a pharmacy, snow ball stand, carry out, jiffy

lube or church

Jump bail, be in jail in a week or so, be wanted my the po po or featured on America’s Most Wanted

Here we go again with this “hatin’” stuff. I don’t know when it became illegal to criticize someone’s music, but it’s really not hating if you don’t agree with someone’s self-described greatness. In terms of record sales and popularity (which is, for the most part, centralized to a certain demographic), I admit that Wayne is doing his thing. But when you call yourself the greatest rapper alive, you’re asking for people to compare you to the other rappers. So, when I take Wayne’s lyrics and delivery and compare them to Common, Nas, Jay-Z, Elzhi, or even Kanye, I don’t see him being on their level. Hell, Wayne isn’t even better than Eminem.

such haters! it’s ridiculous and it’s, as someone else said, jealousy felt by one coast (who has grossy overestimated itself, apparently). I don’t know if this is the entire article (surely it can’t be) but the magazine is absolutely right to feature the guy…i think some of you just don’t recognize his greatness…i think you just don’t get it, honestly. his music is like spontaneous prose, like an explosion of words and concepts…it’s irreverent, gritty, and honest. i’m not charging anybody with being too bleak to “get it,” i’m merely saying you might not have been receptive to the idea of wayne as a street poet of sorts.
