Instead of celebrating the fact that this magazine devoted major pages to all black models (current, past and former models) I knew people here would attack the success of it. For those who don’t realize how fashion magazines work, the amount of fashion spreads or “stories” or editortial work the model has, the better. In the case of Italia Vouge, the amount of pages devoted to black models is a huge statement. So when people complain that there were still white models in all the ads, that was to be expected (The Black Issue ONLY pertained to the fashion spreads).
