LOVE Oprah’s pic! She had star qualities even way back in the day. Despite the internalized oppression that cause our folks to stigmatize dark skin and African features (especially back then), she still had that look of confidence and optimism.
Jay Z is so cute, I had to smile at his pic. He looks like one of those antsy little boys who they had to reprimand just to get him to sit still and smile. I can see him running around by the end of picture day with his clip-on tie in his back pocket, shirttail hanging out and during recess he was sliding down the sliding board standing up ’cause his church shoes made him slide fast
Beyonce clearly always had a lot of hair so people can now get off that baldheaded nonsense.
Rihanna was an absolutely gorgeous child. Her forehead only added more cuteness and didn’t take anything away from her looks.
Jennifer and Halle had to modify their looks to fit Hollywood’s expectations. The changes are obvious, but really not Lil’ Kim, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson drastic. Beautiful women now and then.
Look at a clean-cut Snoop! Da*m, he looked so much better back then.
Will Smith looks the same – cute, in that friend that always makes you laugh way.
I can’t tell if that last pic is of Lil’ Jon or someone else. But if they are a celeb now, I’m sure they have come a long way appearance-wise. Thick, luscious lips are so sexy on a Brotha but those glasses scream chess club president and Dungeons and Dragons master extraordinaire. Not a good look.
