Marlon has bigger acting chops than Mike Epps. I think he would make a great dramatic actor once he fully commits and does a lot of research. If he pulls it off, there’s potentially an Oscar in it for him. I’m happy for him. Good luck, Marlon!!!

Hold up, say whaaaat? Marlon to play Richard Pryor? Hmmm. He sure dont look anything like him but then again it’s Hollywood, they would put a mask on him to look more like him even if it takes 10 hours for make-up. Who knows. We’ll jus wait and see.

You can’t say he doesn’t care about acting because he’s doing White Chicks 2. I’m not going to knock him doing the sequel because that’s like a family project. I mean didn’t his older bro write and direct the first one?

Overall I would have like to see Mike Epps do RP but I have to agree Marlon has shown more acting skills than Mike Epps. Every time I see Mike Epps in a film I feel like he’s just playing himself so it’s not really acting. And his stand up tends to be sometimey.

I have confidence that Marlon will do well. He knows he has big shoes to fill and that he has to do it justice or really get clowned by the Black Community. Shoot I’m sure his own fam will let him know if he doesn’t do it justice. Shoot they rep a lil nation all by themselves.

A lot of ya’ll are knocking Mike Epps because you haven’t seen him play a serious role but maybe he could do it but was never given the opportunity.

I get tired of Hollywood recycling the same black actors… I rather see an upcoming guy play Richord rather than Marlon. In my opinion, I don’t think Marlon is funny…If anything I think people are throwing Mike Epps name around because he shared some of the same struggles as Richord Pryor and most people thought he could transition into the role.

Mike epps can’t act… he is funny by nature and in his roles that is all he needed to be… but he isn’t a real actor… good choice with Marlon

To be quite honest, I do not believe Marlon can pull this off. Mike Epps should’ve been the choice. He resembles Pryor more and his comic stylings is more of a parallel to him than Marlon.. Just my opinion.
