Janet Jackson’s album, like Michael’s recent endeavors, although good works, were under-promoted by the artist themselves. Instead of doing the talk show circuit they think making one off appearances on awards shows will sell their works. L.A. Reid can only carry an artist so far. The hard work comes in promoting your brand and your product.

Mariah has become complacent in the caricature of “the diva” and has let her talents play second fiddle to that role. All talented artist but the blame does not rest on Reid’s arms.
