(Reuters)—Wal-Mart is mobilizing U.S. store managers to lobby against Democrats in November’s presidential election, fearing they will make it easier for workers to unionize, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.
In recent weeks, thousands of Wal-Mart managers and department heads have been summoned to mandatory meetings at which the retailer stresses the downside for workers if store workers unionize, the paper said.
About a dozen employees who attended meetings in seven states said executives stressed employees would have to pay hefty union dues and get nothing in return, and might have to go on strike without compensation, and warned that unionization could force the company to cut jobs as labor costs rise, the Journal reported.
The Wal-Mart human-resources managers who have run the meetings didn’t tell those attending how to vote in the November elections, but made it clear that voting for the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Sen. Barack Obama, would be tantamount to inviting unions in, The Journal said.
Wal-Mart could not be reached immediately for a comment.

Maybe it’s just me, but I continually notice that Jay-z and Beyonce appear estranged. I do not think that he is really in love with her, nor do I think that he really wanted the marriage. I’ve never seen him show outwardly love or affection to her, nor do they walk or sit embraced. He seems more depressed these days, and may be regretful that he ever married. I do not think this married is going to last.

I am a psychologist and bey’s body language and weight loss suggest she is dealing with a lot…possibly adjusting to marraige but she is definitely not “HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY” but seems to be going through some things which hopefully will result in her being a stronger more secure person….if not expect to see her rail thin, and the blonde hair inching longer and longer like before. She needs a break, she needs to enjoy her hard work, virgos are consummate people pleasers and she has so many demanding people around her…her dad..yikes…her man…we know he likes the spotlight…her mom…dereon…her sister…she has to stay ‘hotter’ than little sis…her band members…she has to always be in a position where they ‘look up to her’ as they always have…the label…to push units….girlfriend needs to live for her and Im not sure if performing is what SHE truly wants to do right now, but she HAS to as she is under contract and thepenalties to break it would cost them everything.
