But on a positive note, i think what jay and them are trying to do is good,i like to see more rappers get more involved in africa…black people need to try and trace their roots to find out what african country did they originate from…..i already know mine cos ma daddy told me……lol….that’s why i have been more and more interested in africa….

I was at this event. First, it started about 40 mins late due to sound problems. There were 2 designers (African….and beautiful) and Chris Aires, also dubbed “The Iceman” due to the role he plays in the diamond jewelry game.

The shows were very tastefully done and the models were beautiful. All you ladies really need to start checking for the new African fashion because it is hot!

After the three fasion shows, John Legend performed. I thought he would only perform 2 or three song since I paid $45 for my ticket. Boy was I wrong…can you say full hour of music! He performed all of his singles and introduced a new song from his new album called “Good Morning”. It had the women gone and the fellas left saying “That’s deep.” All I can say is that dude can sing!

After a 20 minute delay (setup for Jay), Hova came to the stage with the energy of an atom bomb…Kaboom!…American Dreamin is the first song, then Rock Boy, all the classics to follow! An hour full of crazy fans reciting ever lyric. It was awesome!

I have to say it $90 (took a date) well spent. I can’t believe people spent more to get into Club Love to see only Jay-Z!

I have to agree with Infinitone..I was at the show it was Totally AMAZIng..some of the models in the show were Tyson BEckford.Alek WEk..One of Africas top supermodel.She represents something way deeper than the color of her skin..u need to read her book to understand her history and her story before you make judgements on her..what ever happened to the fact that we are wonderfully made..Liya Kebede..CAron Butler..yes the NBA player..Oluchi..Nigerias biggest supermodel..she is a Victoria Secret model as well…then a lot of models from the show who wants to be a supermodel..the only name i remember is Jackies..she did her thing..John Legend was sooooo great..an hour plus and he had the whole crowd energetic and going…Jay-Z was phenonemal..Words can not describe it..I was in the very first row and even today thinking about it..just brings back the adrenaline rush..he is just awesome…I am so excited with this project that is going on called AFrica Rising..trying to bring out the best in Africa and show people around the world..Africa is a beautiful place..ne one who has the opportunity to go there please visit..dont be fooled by what you hear on tv..or the media..it is an amazing place..It is not all about AIds and Poverty..just thought to throw that out there as well.

The Concert was GREAT. See I came late which was perfect. The fashion show was amazing. I loved MOMO, she was a featured designer from Nigeria. John Legend can sing his ass off. Go google his new song Good Morning, or look it up on youtube. It will be worth your while.

The venue was intimate, so Jay Z was in my face.. yeah I paid $200 for tix, but my co-workers paid $400 for orchestra seats. Jay Z performed every song I wanted to hear except Party Life. I saw him at Verizon Center w/ Mary J, and I enjoyed him so much more at the Kennedy Center. He could see every single face in the Theatre, that was soo cool. Even more amazing J gave shot-outs to several people who knew all the words and partied with him all night. (including me and my girl friends! I will post picts of the show on my myspace page. And now I know why Bey is so in love.. he looks GREAT!! (camel and all!)

Alek Wek is beautiful and the woman of Africa are beautiful. Just go over there and see the many rich beautiful (pimple less and no blotchy) skins tones and physical postures. Africans sees beauty as natural, Americans see it as fake.
