It was written in 1995 before the press got info about the way Joe treated his family,including his wife. To me Joe himself was a frustrated musician. Since his dreams went down the tubes he turned his ambition to his kids. Its a weird thing about ‘stage parents’. They push their kids to achieve but at the same time THEY ARE JEALOUS OF THEM. Many a stage parent become abusive towards their kids because of jealousy (MacCuley Culkins father, Judy Garlands mother,Barbra steisands mother,etc). They dont push their kids of of love but frustration of trying to live through them. In spite of the fame and money and world adulation, is it all worth it if those same kids wind up hating you in the end or die early from all of the pressure?
