“I do think what you wear is a reflection of who you are. I love to look glamorous when there’s a wonderful, purposeful event that is appropriate. But when I’m in Iowa campaigning with the girls, I am in Gap shorts and a T- shirt.”
On being a mom…
“My first job in all honesty is going to continue to be mom-in-chief,” she says, “making sure that in this transition, which will be even more of a transition for the girls…that they are settled and that they know they will continue to be the center of our universe.”
On being married to Barack…
“Barack and I—as partners, as friends and as lovers—we accessorize each other in many ways,” she said. “The best thing I love having on me is Barack on my arm and vice versa, whether it’s having him standing there smiling at me, or watching him mesmerize a crowd or talk to some seniors in a senior center.”

@Just Sayin’: Photoshop is done too much these days, but I have seen her up close on HDTV, and trust that HDTV is not kind at ALL. Her skin isn’t wrinkled or bumpy, and her skin tone is pretty even – you can tell by the fact that they do not have to cake on the makeup (her neck and shoulders are always the same tone as her face – a drag queen told me about that).
SO she got a little picture “filtering”…if I was going to be on the cover of any magazine, I wouldn’t want EVERY bump and flaw shown just to “keep it real”.

FYI: the 3 strikes law is in effect in about half of the states and backed by federal law. Cali is about the harshest state with it. I am a father of 6, 4 very handsome black boys and my 2 step daughters. I would like to respond to the letter written by A Disgusted White Girl.
Let me start by saying that I am a 28-year old black man. I graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in Atlanta , Georgi a with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. I have a good job at a major corporation and have recently purchased a house. So, I consider myself to be among the ranks of successful black men.
I will not use my precious time to slander white people. I just want to set the record straight of why black men date white women. Back in the
day, one of the biggest reasons why black men dated white women was because they were considered easy.
The black girls in my neighborhood were raised in the church. They were very strict about when they lost their virginity and who they lost it to. Because of our im patience to wait, brothers would look for someone who would give it up easy without too much h*****le. So, they turned to the white girls.
Nowadays, in my opinion, a lot of brothers date white women because they are docile and easy to control. A lot of black men, because of
insecurities, fears, and overall weaknesses, have be come intimidated by the strength of our black women. We are afraid that our woman will be more successful than us, make more money than us, drive nicer cars and own bigger houses. Because of this fear, many black men look for a more docile woman. Someone we can control.
I have talked to numerous black men and they continuously comment on how easy it is to control and walk over their white women. I
just want to set the record straight. I want A Disgusted White Girl to know that not all successful black men date white women.

Their inner beauty is what I find most appealing about black women. Their strong spirit, loving and nurturing souls, their integrity, their ability to overcome great obstacles, their willingness to stand for what they believe in, and their determination to succeed and reach their
highest potential while enduring great pain and suffering is why I have fallen in love with black women. BR>
I honestly believe that your anger is geared more toward jealousy and envy more so than snotty looks. If this were not so, then why do you continuously go to tanning salons to darken your skin? If you are so proud to be white, then why don’t you just be happy with your pale skin? I think that your anger is really a result of you wanting to have what the black woman has.

The “gym shoe” violence that you refer to is not just common among blacks but “poor people.” We both realize every black is not poor.
The intention of “Affirmative Action” was good, but as with most “good intentions” the execution was off. Even by Government standards white women have benefitted the most from this policy. I’m sure the good ol’ USA would have liked to find any calculation showing a majority of blacks. This “loss” won’t hinder blacks. The real culprit to the black community is the unfair prosecution in the …justice system… and economic disadvantges for marriage (percieved or real) in the black community.

While I’ve heard about that letter for years, this was my first time reading it. I’ve always believed a black woman, possibly someone on the staff of the magazine, wrote that letter. I’m not against people changing their hair color/texture, and making certain changes to your appearance. My hair is curly, but I tend to wear it straight because I just don’t have a face for curly hair. Natural curls, Shirley Temple curls, big waves, I have a straight hair face.

According to a Child and Family Services case summary, case workers were called to a city elementary school on March 25 after the little girl showed up to cl***** with disturbing markings on her body.
“There were symbols written and drawn on (the girl’s) arms and one leg in permanent red and blue marker pens,” the summary states. The markings included a Swastika symbol on her arm, the words “Hail Victory” and “Aryan Pride” and the number “14/88,” is a popular reference to Hitler in the white supremacist community.
Police and Child and Family Services quickly went to the family’s apartment and seized her two-year-old brother. While inside, police found “indication of the parents’ neo-*****, white supremacist” beliefs,” the report states.
The children were seized based on a belief by the provincial agency that “the children may be at risk due to the parents’ behaviour and *****ociates. The parents might endanger the emotional well-being of the children,” according to court do*****ents.
Other concerns were expressed, including the fact the little girl had missed 39 days of school this year. She told authorities that’s because her parents sleep in and don’t want to get her ready or take her to school. Authorities also expressed concerns about alcohol and drug use in the home.
The children are under the jurisdiction of Child and Family Services but are residing with their aunt and grandmother, the mother said Tuesday

It’s amazing how only 40% of adult Americans have a college degree, so it means that not all white people have a degree. I to get insulted when people insinuate that I must come from an educated family. The industry I’m in has very few college graduates on the corporate end, just a lot of good Ole boys that affix themselves to their children’s alma matters (U Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, etc.).
I always want to ask them, how did you manage to pull yourself up and learn to speak so well and dress like a professional man when you’re the product of a trailer park/backwoods shotgun shack?
It’s like I’m just as much of an American as you, my mother didn’t finish college but like you, she’s making a great living, started a business in addition to working for a great company, pays taxes, bathes, reades, etc.
And the way they treat our HOT Hispanic guy in IT, they’re shocked that he’s 3rd generation college educated. I just laughed when they asked him his background, he thought I was laughing at him, I told him I was laughing at our “workplace superiors”. Because if they were to look at all of us on paper, the Hispanic guy are at an advantage, we’re able to do things in our 20s that they had to wait until their 30s/40s to achieve professionally.

I think we’re seeing it with this campaign with a highly educated, eloquent, motivated brotha running for president. He’s being painted as “uppity” and “arrogant,” as if it is out of the norm for a black man to exhibit such behavior. Remember that it wasn’t too long ago that another white politician (forgot his name) referred to Obama as “articulate.”

….By the way I was reading over the weekend very important article from Anthropolgy Almanic Only comes out every couple of years on Human Race, and there was a very intersting article about , how the human race has an innate sense of when its in danger of extinction and starts to go in m***** drive since man started out as “fish” in the sea …to either wait for another species to destroy itself such as dinosours before changing its evolution from sea to land or to the need of walking upright due geographic makeup of land. Well now the articel mention that human race is aware of the melanin count and that because of earth getting globaly hotter all races will subconciously feel the need to mate with those of darker race to produce children with high counts of melanin or (darker skin) …to keep the species alive . While politicaly countries like Africa are going through war, famine and Genocide , and even here the locking up of and homicidal behaviours of black men limiting reproduction…other races will an even deeper need to mate with darker the better homosapiens in order to balance the lack.

Earths climate and atmosphere is changing at an alarming rate and nature and all life on earth no matter how bad we treat it (nature & mother earth) work on the same cycle , so when a attack is evident and all the symptoms are present , all of nature starts to go in self cure mode to balance out life.
